Let's see a couple long guns you guys own/like to shoot

My Polish AKMS

Also have a Ruger mini 14 tactical in .223 that I love. That thing is fun to shoot! Reliable as hell too.

I'm also in the process of building another AR, slowly ordering parts from PSA. It's a value rifle. PSA has great deals though. Complete barrled upper, complete lower, BCG and charging handle for about $560. And it's quality, not that M&P sport value quality either, they're actually decent builds.

Perfect example I just threw together on their site, complete rifle for $589 minus a rear sight. Magpul stock, Magpul grip, mid length upper, CHF barrle, m4 ramps, 1/7 twist

Mosul... 2003

Safe, semi, burst :D

I'm usually more interested in a man's targets than his rifle. More than once on a range I've had shooters snub there noses at some of my rifles, especially if I'm shooting some relatively cheap vintage .22LR turnbolt with open sights or a cheap correct vintage scope. That often stops when they see my target.

Mauser 320 sporter from the '30s, Mauser Trainer from the '40s, Walther KKJ from the '60s.

Definitely know what you mean leghog. Nothing wrong with some good .22 action, I love .22lr. Just ordered a box of 500 CCI standard velocity. My mini 14 isn't the most accurate rifle but it gets the job done. I don't have any pictures since I haven't saved targets for a while but I think I have my first target from taking my AK out to 100 yards at home. Pulled off about a 5" group, iron sights. Which actually isn't bad since it's an AK and a parts kit build thrown together on a nodak receiver. Better AKs can shoot better then 5" if the shooter does their job, he'l I'm sure mine could too. The last AR I had would shoot 2 moa, it was a colt 6920.

I am by no means an expert but I have been shooting for about 15 years, so I'm not too bad Id say. I've seen plenty of people shooting terrible groups with 1 moa rifles, so you're definitely right about it being the shooter and not the rifle!

CharlieMike, that's a cool picture. Marines or army? How many tours? And Id love to shoot some burst fire!

Oh and Druid I love me some M1a action :)

Army infantry. Just one tour.

That is one sweet rifle and I love the 6.8 and I would definitely get a 6.8 AR if the ammo was a little more plentiful and cheaper. It really is a great round, if the military adopted it that would be great and the market would be flooded with it. But of course for whatever reasons that didn't happen and probably won't. I also am a fan of the 6.5 creedmore, I've been looking into getting a long range gun in that caliber. I'll probably just end up getting the savage 10P 308 that's on my list though. Just wish I had the money, buying anything expensive is a very slow process for me right now, and I don't typically like to spend money and cheap or low end stuff.

Thanks! The 6.8 is a hunters round now, but is very accurate. I buy fmj ammo for about $12/box which is good brass for reloading. Even the hornady 120SST I can get for $15-17 / box. It's not that expensive in the big picture, compared to $4.99/box for steel cased 5.56 that is one use only is it really much more expensive? If you don't reload, that can come into play, but those guys just sell their brass to recoup some cost.

Here is a clone upper I just built in .20 Practical (still needs a scope)

Both of these were built piece by piece every paycheck very slowly. They are not cheap builds. So, even with limited funds and aggressive saving, you can have some nice expensive toys!

Leghog, I'm kinda partial to those old dog leg "American Enfields" myself!

My Mossberg MMR Hunter in 5.56, with a Redfield Battlezone scope, which is the only way these tired eyes are going to see anything past 100 yards. I also have a Kel-Tec SU-16B (with folding "C" stock) and an older Smith & Wesson M&P 15 Sport with the "good" barrel. Good enough for who they're for.

Everyman should have one rifle truly custom built for him sometime in his life. This is a Steyr M1903 Mannlicher–Schönauer action I rescued in Hawaii upon which I later had a rifle built. Custom Krieger barrel reamed for the 6.5X54mm MS cartridge.

My Marlin 795 w/ tech sights. When I get into my rythm when shooting this little guy it becomes a rapid fire nail driver.

Here is my first rifle, got this when I was about 8 or 10, refinished it about 4 or 5 years ago. Was lucky to find out its a mahogany stocked rifle! Remington 582.

It's wearing a vintage made in Japan Tasco fixed 4x scope with fine reticle. It's a tack driver!

Ok, the ACOG was just for fun - it has a proper scout scope on it now but I'm digging this Ruger GSR in walnut...

Bad picture

My little 22 (I have an EGW 20 MOA base for it on order, along with a Vortex 6-24 HS-T and a 6-24 SFP PST on order, I'll keep whichever one I like better)

Still haven't had time to load develop for this one :(
