Damn. That was a guy who burned the wick at both ends. I don't think I ever remember a time when he wasn't actively involved in something. The world is poorer for his absence.

This has hit me pretty hard, because we had talked several times, and I thought we were at least friendly acquantances. A terrible shame that he's gone. The worst news.
