No way... this is a huge loss to the community. I may have been here a relatively short time but he was one of the first to welcome me and was always nice to me. He was a great guy. I am saddened by this. Rest in peace, friend.

Matt was always willing to help a cause. He’s donated knives for auctions, raffles and GAWs to help out other members in need. He was always quick to help out. The community will be a sadder place without him.

Knew him for 20 years, I’m so glad I knew him as long as I did, sorry we never made the blade we talked about.

The crazy thing is , I just sent him a post on Instagram that I thought he would have found funny. He usually replies with a thumbs up after a few minutes. After a while I realized he didn't reply so I checked his Instagram page and I'm seeing RIP. Wtf this sucks.

SolidSoldier, Charlie Mike, Matt. I remember talking to him way back when, before he even deployed. When his favorite knife was the tanto Buck Strider.

Watched him come back a vet, go through his divorce, fight to stay sober, and become a rock star knifemaker.

Shit. I'm in shock. Matt, MLH&R. I'll miss you brother.
