This is a damn shame. He was a genuine guy and was shaping up to become a hell of a knife maker. I’m going to miss his Instagram shenanigans. I hope he’s found peace

Matt was always willing to help a cause. He’s donated knives for auctions, raffles and GAWs to help out other members in need. He was always quick to help out. The community will be a sadder place without him.
Knew him for 20 years, I’m so glad I knew him as long as I did, sorry we never made the blade we talked about.

He just made 5 years of sobriety. That’s quite a feat. His twisted sense of humor will be missed.

The crazy thing is , I just sent him a post on Instagram that I thought he would have found funny. He usually replies with a thumbs up after a few minutes. After a while I realized he didn't reply so I checked his Instagram page and I'm seeing RIP. Wtf this sucks.

Watched him come back a vet, go through his divorce, fight to stay sober, and become a rock star knifemaker.
