Ritter MK1 in CPM M4

Just sent my two back, so someone will get a 162 serial number pair. I didn't like the tips or the sharpening job overall. OTOH, my two in S30V are two of the nicest production folders I have ever owned/seen.

You mean the grind marks when you say 'scratch' marks? The grind lines look exactly like any other Griptilian I have had. It just has a black color instead of a silver color. I don't see how this could be a problem and is just how the metal is finished.

And if the blade is difficult to open then loosen the pivot screw as mentioned, just like any other folding knife out there.

the finish isn't a problem at all.. doesn't bother me at all i was just making an observation of the knife. i like the finish a lot.

i got the knife to snap open quickly. as quick as AO on kershaw. it was really tight omega spring... i opened and closed it about 10-15 times and now it's perfect. snaps in place.

i'm very impressed with the knife. i know a lot of people got duds i guess i got a good one.. blade is perfectly centered...very pointy tip and even grind.. the upgraded washers and black liners were a nice touch.

as for my first griptilian.. i love the dam thing fits my hand perfect.. the jipping on the ritter is awesome.. i think my zt 0350 is going to my brother

i have to say Doug put together an awesome knife.. i might order and s30v version if i can sell my 610 rukus
 
i just got tired of getting no reply other than automatic "should ship within 1 to 3 weeks" one ... so i bought one second hand (third actually, but NIB), n°116.

i get what everybody says, the blade isn't top notch at all. grind is perfect on mine but the sharpening job really sucks, assymetrical and "twisted" : on the ritter side the bevel gets thicker toward the tip, and on the benchmade side it gets thicker toward the heel. and obviously more sharpened on the bench side but sill not enough to get a crisp tip.

bad for a collector, but not really an issue for me, all this will be gone at first sharpening.

the coating is very nice but very thin so it actually shows the grind lines and they are pretty rough on the flats, no big deal it still looks waaaay prettier than BK1 imo. more refined.

other than that blade is dead centered opening a little tight but smooth ... will make a great user.

btw is this kind of communication usual from aeromedix or am i unlucky ? i think they are out of stock but don't want to tell me ... ordered on apr 29 and my order order says "ready for printing"... in fact it has been ready for printing since may 15 or so ...
 
Dang bro you should definately give them a call. I know the full size sold out about a month ago, hopefully you're waiting for a mini. I've called them before and they were very helpful, but email usually doesn't work nearly as good for these kinds of things.
 
no waiting for a large. and i actually ordered about a month and a half ago. a friend ordered after me and already received his knife ...

for giving a call ... i'm in france, i can write english, speak is another story.

My experience in communicating with AeroMedix has been unsatisfactory. That was before the problems that they had with the M4.

ok thanks to swedge i know my order is supposed to arrive one day or another ... but there's a problem with my card since i gave them my work adress.

sent them 3 emails asking them to make another paiement with the right adress .... still no answer. irritating.
