Who has RW Grips to show? What is your favorite combination?

Never thought I'd pull the trigger on this combo but I woke up dreaming about the thing this morning, pushed all reason completely from my mind and, BOOM, large Ritter Grip ordered, Ti Wilkins Grips ordered $$$. Now I got the fever to put this Franken-beauty together!

It would be cool to see what combinations people have. And if anybody has notes on the titanium combination in particular, that would be interesting to hear, too.

Kevin makes some incedibly high quality scales, his F/F is perfect you will think the scales were made for your knife specifically. I picked up the toxic green G10 scales but would love a titanium set sometime in the future.

That Grip looks great, Blade-fiend. It looks like a comfortable set of scales but I've never handled them. The few Youtube vids I've checked out all seem to come from happy owners, so that is reassuring.

I actually find them much more comfortable than the original scales. I did the same as you, I bought the knife and scales on the same day. I always wanted a Ritter grip and Wilkins scales so i figured it was a good time to get both at once and I could not be happier with them.

Awesome! Good to hear that the roll of the dice worked out so well for you. It looks like a very comfortable handle and the price of Ti was close enough to the G10/11 that I just went for it. I called Benchmade and requested a parkerized standard clip as well. Really looking forward to all the ingredients showing up but may have to be patient with the Wilkins part.

The search function wasn't working on BF after the crash yesterday so I wasn't able to scan for as many pictures as I'd like and read feedback. Hopefully, some more RW Grips owners will show and tell.

Looks killer, Brandon. How do you find the weight of the Ti? I'm not a stickler for weight, just curious.

There's no denying the weight difference, but it doesn't bother me in the least. It changes the knife completely. I have the mini. Yes it does add some length and feels more solid but it's handle heavy. Still doesn't bother me. I I was thinking about the G10 version but these came up on the exchange for a great price.

I think they are a GREAT upgrade. They really transform the model to a much higher level. I have a Mini Ritter & just recently swapped out my G10 Wilkins scales for a set of Ti Scales. The jury is still out on which set I personally prefer. I think that the balance & weight is better with the G10 but I prefer the look & feel of the Ti.

I have sold some of them but I did order another set a couple days ago, large Ti set for my Ritter.

Sweet setups, guys. Atony, that is a very enviable pile! The clip on that last ti looks great, too. Stripped? Stonewashed?

Today, my lg. Ritter Grip should be arriving. It's the first time I recall not being that excited about a new knife in the mail -because half the package is probably just leaving Germany today. Not sure how long the wait will be but my new knife itch is certain to get more itchy before it gets scratchy.

SB, that al scale looks dope, too. I was very close to going with a green one. I would guess the overall balance of the knife would be pretty ideal with aluminum.

It's strange, the Wilkins Grips are perfect on my mini Ritters (I have a black and a tan G10) but on my large Ritters I prefer the CF Gold Grip scales or the ones made by the other guys in Germany. My 550 has the Wilkins scales on - just works better for me.

I agree that the Mini's are just plain awesome when you add a set of Kevin's scales, arguably my favorite EDC. The Large Wilkin's take some time to get use to, mainly due to the size but they are every bit as good as the smaller scales once you get use to them.

Few more that I have had.

Uh oh. Is there something weird about the large size Grips? What takes getting used to?

For me, the perfect size EDC knife is something along the lines of a small Sebenza or Mini Grip. I think the Wilkins scales for the large grips just make the knife feel larger than what it really is, don't get me wrong I really like them and have another set coming but I prefer the smaller Wilkins scales. There is a definite size difference between the two, if you like larger knives I think you will enjoy them.

Ahhh. Well that's cool. Ideal size for me is right around the large Griptilian. The thing that caused me to consider the RW Grip was the idea of keeping a similar size knife but with the heft of a Rift and a handle scale which does not taper off at the back, as the Rift does. It seems this will fit the bill.

Oh it definitely will have the heft for sure, once you put the Wilkins scales on it will seem like the knife is indestructible. I just got my large Ritter today from KW just need some titanium now:D.

I sold my Wilkins Ti 550 and miss it so much that I had to have another, even bought another 550 to swap the blades back and forth.
