Rock Vocalists...

Already listed a couple of times, but Bruce Dickinson has to be in my top five. Haven't been a fan of Iron Maiden for a quarter of a century, but the guy has an amazing voice.

From "OUTSHINED"...
I'm lookin California, but feeling Minnesota oh yeah...

Who hasn't felt like that before?

It's all coming back to me now...
Steve Perry - Journey
Steven Tyler - Aerosmith
Dee Snyder - Twisted Sister
Ozzy Osbourne - Not the greatest singer, but tried hard and sang with emotion
The lead singer of the Scorpions...his name escapes me for now

You mean Klaus Meine?

I can't believe there's no love for Blind Faith btw? Winwood on can't find my way home in and of itself was just flawless.

Outside of folks with sick vocal range zakk wylde in his band black label society is great and I really dig kid rock doing straight up rock.

The front men for van halen are right up with the best of them. 5150 and for unlawful played until I wore out the grooves in the record and tape, lol.

No love for Geoff Tate?

Dio, of course, and Hansi Kursch

Insane vocal range, both of them.

Claudio Sanchez - Coheed and Cambria
Lzzy Hale - Halestorm
Emily Armstrong - Dead Sara
Howard Jones - Killswitch Engage
The guy from The Black Crowes
And of course Robert Plant

Anyone ever heard of Leo Jimenez? I think he's from Spain and I'm not sure what group he sings with. But he does a great cover of Pantera's song "Shattered".

I saw them live in '03 along with Queens of the Stone Age. They opened for RHCP. I forgot about the Mars Volta.

Some epic vocals

Chester bennington singing for stone temple pilots is really well done, cant wait for more of that. Other then that M. Shadows of A7X is amazing and so is matthew tuck of bullet for my valentine and cant forget about Ivan moody of five finger death punch right now they are my 3 favorite bands

I could name many I love, but for me Robert Plant is the best rock vocalist ever.

Any of the guys from the Traveling Wilburys like Roy Orbison (R.I.P.), Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, Jeff Lynne. A lot of the hair band guys like Bret Michaels, Vince Neil, the guy from Slaughter (I think his name was Slaughter) Janie Lane from Warrant R.I.P.. I must say that Steve Perry has always been one of my favorites.

ETA: Freddy Curci is also pretty bad ass.
ETA: I also really like Tom Keifer from Cinderella but can understand why some people might not.

One of the most underrated because of the circus atmosphere of his band. Paul Stanley.
A few other names for the list.
Rod Stewart (Jeff Beck Group, Faces and early solo work)
Steve Marriott (Small Faces, Humble Pie)
Jack Bruce
Lonesome Dave Peverett (Foghat)
David Bowie
Lou Gramm (Foreigner)
Dan Baird (Georgia Satellites)
Burton Cummings (Guess Who)
John Fogerty
Derek St. Holmes (original vocalist for Ted Nugent)
Gary Brooker (Procol Harum)
Paul Rogers, possibly the coolest cat on the planet but Ian Gillem might give him a run for his money.
Greg Lake
Peter Gabriel
Bon Scott.
more to follow.

Do you prefer Bon Scott or Brian Johnson?

While I'm not really a fan, I haven't seen Sammy Hagar listed.
