RoseCraft Knives

Nor the enormous losses in WW.1 750,000 French & Germans killed or wounded just at Verdun in 9 months 1916.

During the Battle of France in 1940 the French army lost c.90,000 dead in little over a month, thousands captured (some taken to Germany as 'workers') Their British ally lost around 10,000 killed and Churchill ordered Gen. Gort to retreat/run away and create the Dunkerque myth. It saved a lot of British&French troops but it was desertion and the Germans laid off attacking this point on Hitler's orders. Too often this insulting lie about French cowardice&surrender has been promoted by Anglo-American historians, too lazy to research anything and keen to get easy credit. War is Hell, that's for sure.

Back to the real topic.

I remember watching an episode of QI (quite interesting) that had a tidbit on the myth of French soldiers being cowardly or something to that effect. I can't remember the specifics, but the crux of it was they were in fact excellent soldiers (statistically speaking), regardless of the brits always having a crack.

One genuinely hopes the French get back in touch with that fighting spirit and reclaim stability within their government to serve the greater good of French people.

Nice knife btw!

So, these knives (the traditional ones) look very much to me like the Rough Rider Reserve line. One thing about that line of knives I never liked was the way the blade pivots have washers between the blade and the liners. I personally do not like this construction method. Are these RoseCraft knives built on washers as well, or are they more traditionally constructed with the blade in contact with the liners?

No washers. They are traditional throughout.

I'm looking at possibly getting a rosecraft but with shipping and customs to Canada it make it a $150.00 cnd knife which is doublethe price of a case here, but one of the 2 I would like to give a go is the briar patch jack or the mosquito moose.the jack may be a little to hefty,it would be cool to see it up against the m&g 35 trapper from gec.

- maybe give just one a go...!? You may well be surprised.

Just to say, for me with older weaker thumb nails these days, I found the Mosquito Moose too heavy going.

The Otter Creek and the Cane Creek are single blade beauties...
