Are those blades really that short compared to the handles? Or are my eyes playing tricks on me?Got both of these in in the past few days, both are phenomenal examples!!!

It's just the angle they're at. They're both 3 inch blades I believe. I was focusing more on the handles so as to show the scales better. Are those blades really that short compared to the handles? Or are my eyes playing tricks on me?

I didn't want to correct Quiet, but I'm pretty sure they're disproportionate.I have the sowbelly and the blade feels short compared to the handle.
The USPS's idea of a pass-around-boxLoomfixer.. Day 14,, Onto the next destanation?? Wherever that may be!!I am in Pittsburgh!!

I can see how that could be considered, as the handle's rear element is a lot larger than up near the blade. The ratio is definitely a little off as compared to Case or GEC swaybacks, but it feels good in the hand, so it's fine in my estimation. Others' mileage may vary.I have the sowbelly and the blade feels short compared to the handle.
Certainly not a flaw, but I definitely noticed it, especially on one blade patterns. So, if the Stinking Creek is disproportionate, then I guess Case and GEC need to be notified as well. The Loom Fixer's handle is a tad longer than the blade, and if that's a flaw in anyone's eyes, they're always free to go track down a Swayback from Case or GEC, both of which are fine knives as well. It feels stout in the hand, and the edge of that blade would be perfect if your job includes making a lot of scoring cuts:

Unfortunately, your engineering is incorrect. The Case and Rosecraft have identical cutting edge lengths, with the GEC being dimensionally larger in all aspects, so that's an outlier. As for the Loom Fixer, yes the blade is shorter, so I was mistaken in my first post, however, I do not see this as a design flaw (because it isn't).Certainly not a flaw, but I definitely noticed it, especially on one blade patterns.
I just did some power point engineering here, and scaling the knives to keep overall handle length even, the both rosecrafts pictured here have shorter blades than either GEC or Case.

I think you missed the part where I scaled them all to be equal handle lengths.Unfortunately, your engineering is incorrect. The Case and Rosecraft have identical cutting edge lengths,
So, may we see some pics of your Rosecrafts? I'd be curious to see what you thought of your other models
I actually really appreciated your picture- it confirmed my suspicion.as it's clear you do not like these (or my slapdash photography).![]()
