RoseCraft Knives

An early Christmas present from Bob Rufus1949 Rufus1949
Very nice, I don't think it will be my last rosecraft,
Congrats, Mitch and way to go, Bob!

As I have both A. Wright and Rosecraft Senators, and know you do too, I'm interested in your thoughts on a comparison of the two! Personally, I feel like the blade shape on the Rosecraft is more in line with what I think of when I think "lambfoot" than the A. Wright - crazy, I know!!

I too have both. I will get booed, but I like the build and looks of the rosecraft better. Hard to argue with price/ quality.

Will
I'll have to carry the rosecraft for awhile to truly compare.
Rosecraft is better value for money. I have 2 senators, stag and snakewood, haven't come across a stag senator for sale but have the snakewood.
stag rosecraft, $175AUD

snakewood senator, $289.95AUD
does include shipping.
of course neither of these Aussie sites have any in stock.

......would imagine there's possibly a few gulps and looks of consternation from the workshops in/around Sheffield 😮

😉
I have my first Sheffield arriving today and if hadn’t found it a very low price, I was leaning toward the senator.
Thoughts on stag vs Rosewood?

For me, stag - if I can see the exact knife I'm going to be purchasing first... or if I'm feeling lucky (I'm rarely feeling lucky 😂). Barring being able to see the knife first, I'd likely go with rosewood - the safe bet.

- enjoy your Sheffield slippie, they are knives of great character.

Suggest birdsbeaks birdsbeaks talks much sense. There are some wild and varied examples of Stag, some very plain. Rosewood has more consistency in what it offers..............sadly though, there's too much of being illegally plundered around the world
