RoseCraft Knives

I have a minor league mystery πŸ•΅οΈβ€β™‚οΈπŸ”Ž
I recently bought this Cane Creek Jack. It was advertised as red sandalwood. It looks like the pics of red sandalwood, and the part number on the box corresponds to red sandalwood.
That's not what the box description lists:

A quick internet search turned up a used one on a vendor website listed as rosewood. Other than that, nothing.

Mislabeled box?
A super rare collectable worth untold riches? πŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ€ž

It looks more like red sandalwood than rosewood to me, but my wood identification skills are limited, and I do know rosewood can have a lot of variability.
In any case, its a nice knife.

I'm not too sure about the wood difference, but had to chime in that that wood has fantastic graining. A keeper for sure!

After re-reading this thread and reading & watching more reviews on the interweb, I decided to go ahead and check out the patterns that I find appealing.

In addition the the Buffalo River Jack - also have a Nolichucky Jack in Stag, and a Stinking Creek Sowbelly and French Broad in Black Sandalwood inbound.

Signed up for a notification when the Nolichucky in Moss Brown Bone becomes available again, will get one if I like the one arriving (maybe) this week.

Buffalo River Jack in green micarta arrived. Not disappointed. High bang-for-the-buck. Nice F&F, sharp, stabby, nice size. I like it. Looking forward to the other patterns arriving. :D
