RoseCraft Knives

What's your favorite pattern of the ones you've got? Any harder to put down than the rest?

If you're into them, I recommend the lambfoot too.

Sorry I haven't responded, been a bit busy offline. So far, I think the Buffalo River Jack is most favored. Followed closely by the Gunstock, Teardrop, and Nolichucky Jack in no particular order.

I expected to like the Sowbelly and French Broad more than I do, but I don't. I also expected to not like the Gunstock, but I really do.

I occasionally like a Wharncliffe main/ only, but have never liked Lambfoot/ Sheepfoot/ Ramfoot blades. Even after trying them. I prefer a Wharncliffe as a secondary blade, probably why I love my Bose/ Case collab Eureka Jack.

Who here uses theirs on a daily or semi daily?

My days of regular and heavy knife use are long in my past.

Most use my knives see these days is cutting cord/ string/ tape, opening mail/ packages, and sometimes slicing food.

Having said that, my Rosecrafts have rotated into my pocket or sit out available for use 2 to 4 days each week since getting them.

Good deal. I use to cut and strip wood a lot so my knives get used up, its been a hot while since I've done that, apartment living has taken away a fair bit of use opportunities, made it easier for me to trade in my hard use-capable folders for the knives of my youth

Yep, apartment life plus health issues limiting activities and getting older have curtailed most of my knife use.

To be perfectly honest, most of the "surviving" is done on purpose, they don't have to bush craft, they merely mainly want to

Not sure where bushcrafting and surviving entered the chat, although I think that might apply to many and IMHO there's nothing wrong with that. If they enjoy it, go for it. However there are those who practiced much more in addition to knife skills due to having a life that put them in positions where if things went bad, they'd be doing the survival stuff for real.

Anyways, back to RoseCraft musings.

Tomorrow's jam. Fav pattern, liking the blue more than I thought I would.

Looks great Bob. I like the burl. I have a whole bottle of dye left over from my dye job on last years forum knife. I might try dyeing this one. It’s a lot like the GEC Whip. It doesn’t look exactly like it has equal ends and a sheep main and two blades would have been more Congress like. I sure enjoy their releases.

I do have some dye. At the price, it's worth trying.
