These are the only RRs I own at the moment. Great bang for the buck. Fit and finish are pretty great IMO. And come really sharp. Thanks to everybody here for opening my eyes to them. The Barlow is the only one that actually sees any pocket time but I'm already eyeing some different patterns.
GasMan, what pattern is that tobacco bone equal end knife in your second photo? What blades does it have besides the spear? From what I can see in the photo, it's an intriguing knife! Thanks!

I second this question! At first, I thought it was a scout, but I think that's wrong.
Of the RRs I've handled, the tobacco bone with acorn shield have been the best built.

Hey Rachel, I didn't know you did scrimshaw. I would love to see some of your work. :)

I'm sure I've posted these before, but it doesn't take much prompting to get me to show off again:

RR peanut:

Mark side of RR Marlin Spike: It's supposed to be Barnegat Lighthouse with a seagull flying in front of it. I'm not too happy with how it came out, and may try to fix it somehow.

1081. The little screwdriver blade on the other end is so stiff it's not worth the effort. :D But seems to be decent otherwise.

That scrim looks fantastic Rachel! I really love the detail of that feather.

The screw driver will loosen up with usage. Mine was very stiff to start with, but now has just the right tension.

Thank you!

I didn't expect pliers! :D

Rachel That is incredible.:thumbup: Everybody has something that really flips their switch and old log cabins do it for me. I think the lighthouse looks great too but that cabin scene is just special. Excellent work.

Thank you so much! That particular image has a lot of meaning for me. It was a landmark we kids looked for every summer, as we crossed the causeway to Long Beach Island, NJ.

GasMan, thanks for the additional photo of that tobacco bone RR; like Rachel, I wasn't expecting pliers!

Rachel, I've admired your scrimshaw before, but it's fantastic seeing it again!:cool:
That feather is especially impressive! One thing I really like about the log cabin scene that I didn't notice until today is that the pins near the marlin spike make the entire scene look like an alien planet with twin suns!! :D:cool::D

Well, now I can't see it any other way. :D

Good catch Gary you are right I hadn't caught that before either,

Rachel are you sure that cabin wasn't on Tatooine home of Luke Skywalker. :D

These are my three favorite Rough Rider patterns. First the Small Barlow second the Deluxe Barlow and third the Work Fold Knife. All three are great knives but the Small Barlow was a surprisingly useful Knife. The 2 inch blade handles most all of my daily cutting needs. I won this on that big auction site for it for $3.75 with free shipping best under $4.00 knife I ever bought.

Here is a few of my Rough Riders, I love these old slip joints, really interested in the Elephants Toenail, and Sunfish patterns, along with the sheeps foot blades, and single arms.

Welcome to the porch, and a nice collection of RRs it is. The sunfish was among the patterns that got me into traditional folders as well. You've got a pretty big selection of 'em. I like that baby sunfish second from the left on the bottom row of your first photo, what sort of pattern is that on the scales?

I decided to take a video of the chatoyance on this Old Forge. The covers really are impressive for a $10 knife, even though the side not pictured has a couple of very dull spots:

Nice lady leg. Small, medium, or large? I understand the heel works better as a bottle opener on the medium and large.
