Be very careful doing that (if you do) or you might lower the small blade to the point you can't get to the nail nick on it.
Rich
If that should happen, you can Dremel a small relief notch to get to the nick, like Case used to do.

Thanks Henry, that matches my general take on Frost. The little Wild Turkey sheepsfoot seems like it may be a cut above their usual output. Better dye and jigging, file worked spring. About the size and general shape of a GEC #25 EZ opener (which they may have used for a pattern). I encountered one recently and at first mistook it for a Rough Rider but saw the tang stamp was different, so I figured I should check with others before I pulled the trigger.

I know my comment is a bit late buy you gotta be careful with Frost traditional folders.
Their steel warrior and other lines with the Rockwell test sticker are made in China and decent ( rr is still a bit better ) , but others are made In pakistan and should be avoided.

This one was made in China, it turns out. I ordered one and it was surprisingly well done, nicely jigged red bone, file worked back spring and blade. The blade is centered, has taken a sharp edge and behaves about the way the RR knives do. The back spring is flush in the open, half stop, and closed positions. I am going to give it some pocket time. A nice little easy opener along the lines of the GEC 25 sheepfoot pattern. If I like how it carries, I may look into a GEC 25 when they do a run of them again. So far I like it quite a bit.

I have one like that in tortoise. Really love it!
And I can actually open it. Nail or pinch.
Gotta stop buying traditionals. Nails too weak and I usually buy them because I love the looks. Rarely use them any more. They are more like artwork to me.

D deltaboy , while I realize that the "Cotton Sampler" was not necessarily designed/marketed originally as a skinnin' knife, it looks like it might be good for that.
Or is the blade too short?

Or use a dremel tool with sanding barrels to cut in an "easy open" notch in the handle so you can pinch the blade open.

Thanks for the suggestions. It is almost like the small blade covers the larger blade so I have to get in behind it. Maybe larger blade sits too low or small one sits a bit too high.
