Rough Ryder Reserve: New Premium Rough Ryder Line

Forgive my ignorance; for the shields to be pinned, do they have to penetrate all the way through the liner? If so, neither of my RRR‘s do. I love my RRR Barlow - excellent user knife and the FF was superb (my easy-open has blade rap which is a bummer though).

Yes, a pinned shield goes through the liner, and the RRR knives are not pinned. At least, none of mine are pinned. This is a cost saving measure, but they are well made otherwise.

Nothing to complain about about the Rough Ryder Reserve knives. This one came in yesterday and it's perfect. Haven't found anything amiss with it. Fit and finish are first rate. It's as good as any Case (including the Bose/Case collaborations), GEC, S&M, or Queen I have. D2 as the blade steel is a great choice.

Well, Modoc ED sent me a little RRR pruner like his above, and mine is just as well made as he said his was. Reminds me more of a Rosecraft than any other knife I've handled. Crisp edges and fine detail throughout. Thank you, Ed!

You're welcome Jeff black mamba black mamba . These knives are really nice and getting better and better not that there's much room left in that department. The fit and finish is perfect.
