Rough Ryder Reserve: New Premium Rough Ryder Line

I'd love to read how it is once it arrives.

It looks like a great, strong little knife but I don't see how it is a Copperhead, at least compared to Case's.

Please tell us how it is! 😃
I agree it does not look like a traditional copperhead, but that is what they are calling it. It seems to be a pattern (no pun intended) with the RRR series, a new take on an old style.

For the coping style blade. Hey, they can call it anything they want as long as their typical quality is there.

Delivered 30 minutes ago. First impressions are very good. Excellent action, centered blade, flush opened and closed, but not at the half stop. One liner is slightly proud (second picture) but no light shines through the blade well so, not a gap. Only issue I have is the same issue on both the Barlow and this one (maybe all of them I don’t know because I only have these two) and that is the edges of the covers and bolsters. They are not rounded off at all. I like very smooth rounded edges and these knives have very square and abrupt edges. Pretty easy and fun to fix though and I’m sure I will be doing that very soon. 😉
This is a small knife, but if you like smalls I’d recommend this one. 👍👍65645B88-2299-48D5-919E-8D3B04FE94FF.jpeg69F38281-8E5C-46A2-8476-BF017B7F9CF6.jpegD42543D9-8527-4A75-BF69-D6B56D285968.jpeg
(Since I only have two thumbs, this is my highest rating! 😄)

Been sitting here taking a closer look and I’ve noticed that the blade edge isn’t perfectly straight. It’s sharp, but it has a bit of belly, which of course a coping blade shouldn’t have. Still giving it a 👍👍 rating. 😄

I hadn’t seen that one yet. It looks really good. I like the handle shape and the blade shape.

I think people are comparing it to Case’s copperhead and wondering how it’s a copperhead, but it looks pretty similar to the mini copperhead pattern to me.

I added a Swell Center Whittler pattern to my growing collection of non-locking knives, yesterday.

Today was it's formal debut, cutting tape and breaking down cardboard.

It has a pleasing heft to it, and the blade is more like a modified wharncliffe than a spear point, with the point below the midline.

It’s pretty cool actually. 😎👍

It’s very similar to the mini copperhead. I saw on their site that they are calling it a coperhead (one p) because of the coping blade.
I was hoping to see them side by side, you know, knife porn... 😉
Here is a side by side.

Makes the Boker look big! 😄

That Coperhead is interesting. Anyone have a picture of one next to a peanut? Love the shield and pattern choices on some of these

I just got the RRR019 Swish. It's a lockback with a swing guard. Incredibly well built- smooth as silk. Huge too- 6 inches closed. It's a keeper. I got the RRR022 whittler too. It's about 4 1/2" closed and very stylish. Not as thick as earlier three bladed Reserves.

Here are photos of the swish...

I would love the spear from the tear jerk jack put in the regular EO jack frame. The asymmetric handle of the tear jerk leaves me cold, and an EO cut out only on one side is stupid. Some of these reserve knives are pretty dang nice, while others are quirky in a good way. Then some are just weird, weird in a off putting way at least for me.
