Round Three Guyon!

trade, that was a couple years back. Shad were all balled up in a cove and the white bass were hitting topwater so hard you could see the white caps from across the lake. Crazy fishing.

Day one:

Day two:

There is nothing like fishing topwater! Just waiting for the surface to break into an explosion. Exciting stuff!

There was no waiting. The surface was breaking into explosions all around me. It was insane.
Largemouth, smallmouth, stripers, white bass--everything was attacking the shad balls up top.
No size limit on white bass, so I was just tossing every one of those onto a stringer.

First day, anything I threw out was working.
Second day was slower and more dispersed, but I matched the little shad I'd found in the entrails with a small topwater plug.
You can see how beat up it got from all the fish slashing at it.

Sorry to turn D's food thread into a fishing thread on p. 3, but so it goes.
Last fishing post from me. That first day was great, and here was the view when I was paddling out.

With rod.

Nice mess of bass!

I love when you find great topwater like that. In Colorado we call that "Busting" I go out looking for the bass busting the shad every summer. That zara spook sure has seen some use. I really like the super spook myself.

I got a report from a kayaking friend that they were "busting" at a certain location. The bite lasted another couple of days.
That was one day's use with the little zara spook. That thing was getting nailed. Lot of knocking it around without hooking on too.

OMG, did you eat all of those biscuits yourself?
You are what you eat....

DerekH got some style points but Guyon has the overall lead...This is how I see it so far...

Yeah, Derek needs to step it up and actually catch/kill some of the food he's posting. :p
That said, I haven't really done anything since the gauntlet was thrown. These are all older pics.
The mega biscuit will change everything though. :D

Talking about white bass is talking about food! white bass is the best tasting if you ask me, nice flakey white meat. Mmmmmm!

I gotta say, I don't see how what he posted is a beat down. Sure, he went for quantity, but as he said, that is all old stuff. I won't feel properly bested until I see some new material.

So, as I sit here eating my carne asada tinga chicken and chorizo fajitas I have 2 questions that arose. 1) Is this challenge ONLY for Gunyon? 2) Does it HAVE to be breakfast foods? Cause I would like to throw my hat into the ring in the next couple days if it is open to anyone.
Wait a sec, you are eating meat something tangy chicken and chorizo fajitas?
Hmmm, sounds meaty.

Ooof, please NEVER post pictures of Chili - EVER. EVER!
Daizee's food pictures rule-of-thumb: if you can't from the photograph if it's coming or going, do not photograph it!
(I will marginally violate this rule below, but only by a small percentage)

Hat tip to Chameleonbear's pig-inna-pig-inna-pig thread, but I'm posting here for continuity.

Here is my favorite breakfast, and this is current as of about 30 minutes ago.

Homemade cinnamon maple bran muffin (not *quite* scratch), homemade half&half yogurt (WOT?), apple, and freshly ground and brewed strong dark coffee (appropriately adjusted with milk etc.):
