Round up those Cattle Knives!!

Charlie- as our friend Gev said- the Punch on the Needham Farm Knife is stunning- Oh to have a HJ sporting that fella!
That knife is quite spectacular, the Blade shape choice, That Punch:eek:, The Stag- Wow also the great way that the Earlier Sheffields were stamped so- just fantastic!

Somebody out there has some nice Cattle knives to show us!! :)
Where are you??
Don't be shy!!:D

Where's Elliot (blues)? His custom collection is out standing. I'm really bummed about the old thread

Lest we forget, GEC produced some large, and very large Cattle knives. Shown here with a
3 5/8" knife (pretty much the Cattle knife standard) for comparison, is the monster #98 Tidioute, with its forged punch, and buttery Gabon handles!

If you have a GEC-made Cattle knife or two, now is your chance to show it off! As well as all others, I'd love to see some of those #53 Cubans from the earlier years at GEC!!

Here's one of the first ones I have. A 53 Cuban from 2007. Chocolate brown scratted bone. It has a bit of "Rag bone" on both sides. It has very low riding joints and packs a lot of blade into a slim package. Also like how the shield is centered and symmetrical. Sweet knife that I am proud to own. Double, because it was a gift from @johnny twoshoes. Thanks bud!!

That's an early one and mighty fine, Mark!! Does it have firm springs and hard snap like a lot of those early ones???

Charlie, here's a junior. I'm absoluteley stunned at the volume of knives you have in this pattern, and every one's a gem too!!!

Mark, beautiful Cuban!

Nice to see you visiting, Eric!! Hope you are keeping your knife skills tuned up and working!!
Beautiful, full-bladed Junior you have there!! Very cool!

Here’s a 53 Stainless in Elk from 2008. It’s a 2nd. I figured it’s because the Elk is smooth and has a bad place near one bolster. The Fit & Finish and Walk & Talk are definitely 1st quality.

Unusual and great, Ron!! A Stainless treasure!!
BTW, same question I asked Mark; Does that knife have strong pulls??

Yes sir, it does! All 3 springs are fairly stout. Just how I like it.

Thanks Eric! Incredible Schrade! My goodness:cool:

Thanks Charlie! The three blades all have very smooth pulls. I always have problems estimating pulls because so far I never have any trouble with even the stoutest, but I will estimate the pulls on this stainless 53 to be at least a 7 on all 3 blades.

Good news!! Thanks for the mini-review, Mark!!

Thank you too, Ron!!:)
I like stout pulls enormously. I might have to search for one of these early Cubans!!

Does this one count? Equal end and 3 blades. Not sure since I didn't see the model mentioned.
GEC 541308W in Tractor Green.
Just picked it up in a group purchase of older GEC knives. Was able to buy 10 GEC's all from 2007 to 2009. The seller claims he has around 200 more to offer me nothing newer than 09. Cant wait to see them.

I've got a couple of Junior Cattle Knives; this HSB I bought from a pawnshop near the stockyards in Fort Worth TX last year to have an EDC while in town. I speculate it was made by Camillus. The other I will try to get a picture of before the sun sets today. OH
