I have a Queen Canoe and I like it very much because of may of its design features.
  • I love that the blades share a single spring, but are not crinked. I like designs with straight blades. Blades which have to be bent to fit come out of the knife at an angle.
  • I'm partial to the thick main blade and the thin secondary.
  • I'm extremely partial to the total thickness of the knife. It is thick enough to be quite comfortable in my hand when cutting, yet thin enough to be extremely pocketable.
  • I like the large rounded bolsters. Not only do they allow the knife to easily enter and exit the pocket, they form a nice stop for my hand when the knife is opened.

I've been eying an older case canoe in a local store here lately, this thread isn't making it easier to resist :)

Next time or 6 you think about buying a moon pie and a Nehi (ode to old days), latte, or ponying up scalper prices for a bulk pack of .22 LR just reach in your pocket and rub that Case canoe you bought instead. Like someone else said, they make great worry stones. That and you won't have to worry about the sugar and calories you would have with the consumables.

Remember a few of the ways that guns, knives, and motorcycles are better than women. You can have more than one and the others don't get mad. You can spend time with one and the others won't begrudge you that time. If you don't take one out for months at a time, they'll still be there when you want to spend time with them and be happy to oblige. Oh, and older knives, guns, and motorcycles can be downright sexy and just get better with age.

Buy it! Then post a pic.

And Amos, if you get tired of them you can always sell them and at least get some of your money back!

I can't think of a single reason to disagree, next time I'm there, it's mine! (so it'll be gone by now, right?)

Never owned a canoe but I celebrated cyber Monday, and have one coming in the mail. I don't know if it will replace my current worry stone, which is a buck prince my folks gave me about 12 years ago.

How odd that I found this thread, I just purchased a Case Canoe in olive green with the pinched bolsters. Here's the vendor pic....

Not only does that one "float my boat" it paddles me along the river faster than a Ski boat with twin Evinrude 90's on the back.

Those pinched and fluted bolsters are awesome. I really wish case would do more of that.

Yes, that's why I purchased the Baby Doc, for it's pinched and fluted bolsters. It's a real nice touch that just steps up the aesthetics.

I only have one. Love the looks of the pattern but never got into the feel. Never been carried!
Case Appaloosa bone

I picked up this Remington recently. I suspect it is a Rough Rider/ Sanremu knife, it's very similar in appearance.
It was in a blister pack, unlike the usual box from RR. Scales are "root wood burl" that RR uses. Unusual in that
it has steel liners and bolsters. Nice F&F, W&T, but after using my larger knives, it seems a bit small.
