I obtained one of these about 3 months ago and haven't given it any hard use. Sharpened in once using the Spyderco unit. All it's done is cut up 3 Subway foot-long sandwiches, but right after the last one I noticed a big fat edge chip about 3/4" from the tip. Sent it back to Benchmade yesterday and waiting on a response.
I have a black combo edge RSK that I used once to cut up some foam. No chipping noticed. I doubt I'll get another one, and stick to the 154CM and 440C blades.
