"wow" - it can be my only response to legititmate after legititmate consecutive apologies and admission of mistakes CLEARLY shown, not in pictures this time but in description. Yet still, the lack of comprehension, the lack of understanding on the majority of forum members responding to this thread and the failure on their part to see the truth there are two sides to this coin. No matter how flat one makes a pancake, it has two sides. The fact that others still believe there is anything I can do to even remotely salvage my "consistently diminishing reputation" at this point with regards to the claim filed with Paypal is beyond me. If you don't believe the truth that my hands are tied at this point (and literally with scent of ocean sea air under my nose and the thick rusty chains encircling my ankles) then by all means contact Paypal and inquire about claims and there various stages. To the original OP, because of both our actions I too now get to experience what it is like to go through a claim for the first time.

You can continue to put up walls of text until your fingers go numb but the single fact remains that you've not fixed anything. He wants his money refunded. You should do that yourself and not wait for the Paypal claim process to run it's course.

The only thing that's flat here is your head.

BTW, Tiger, let's humor you for a moment and pretend that your PayPal BS story about them not allowing you to voluntarily pay back the money you stole after a claim has been filed is true. Let's pretend that you can't call Paypal and say, "Yep, I screwed up. I'm giving his money back." after a claim is filed.

If PayPal doesn't refund the money back to Dino for whatever reason, what's the next step for you at that point? Will you refund Dino his money if they don't?

Well, to be honest, as much as everyone wishes to label me as a "swindler", I do like to do the right thing in any case. The answer to your questions depends on Mr. Kalandtis's conduct from here on out. By no means am I 100 percent perfect (far from it) but I do and have acknowledged my part in the whole situation whether people believe it was intentional or not. I, even if unawaringly, made those choices and now am having to live with the consequences (the constant piercing of the blade edges getting to be quite cumbersome and the blood dripping from them continuing to weaken my hope that their is a slight chance at redemption) and I accept that.

I suggest he re-read the second half of post #156 in regards to his conduct and take responsibility for HIS part of this transaction gone awry. It was always about principle and never about the money though looking back, not so overtly expressed. Why should the seller always be the one to take the blame for future transactions here on the exchange? CLEARLY seen on the bladeforums policies is a list of good conduct to maintain BOTH by the seller AND the buyer. Just because one member has seniority over another and large history of knife collecting doesn't make it right for him or her to treat the seller any which way he or she chooses and break numerous BF policies in the process. Mr. Kalandtis even states his own whole-hearted belief in putting full trust in members. Yet, when a member with a proven clean record proceedes to do business with him, he immediately abandons all that honor and trustworthiness. Just so happens I happen to be the one to receive it. When I call it out and specifically ask him about it, he avoids it and instead lists a general statement regarding "respect" on the forums and that he is trying to "help" me. What happened to that "respect" when he initially had concerns with the knife? If he was really trying to "help" me, wouldn't it of been more effective to have shown me that "respect" in the beginning and gave me some advice on how I could have done better next time? So for this and the fact that at the time I initially believed listing the item correctly and accurately, I leave it in the hands of a third-party, trusting their objective opinion vs. the subjective opinion of some/ most members here reading the thread (no offense intended). Afterall, by the buyers, words and actions this is where he preferred it to be.

I think we have read enough of your BS, you need to get a life and stop ripping people off.
