Sad day...lost our bushcraft companion...

I don't understand something.

Did the old man careen off the road into your yard to hit your dog?
or
was your dog on the road?

I'm really sorry to hear about your loss, Rock. Like many here, I know what's it like. Good luck with your son.

For what its worth, I know how you feel and am very sorry.

when my fiance and I moved back east, we had a Kari at the time, she was a pup from the same breed that we have our current pouch from, she was all we had at the time, not many friends in that area and were devastated when a neighbor hit her.

Oh My! Rock6, thats really bad news. Thoughts and prayers for your family. The loss of a beloved pet is rough.

We're quite a ways off the road...and usually have our dog leashed up unless we're outside and can keep an eye on him. He was off the leash this morning and ran across the road and was crossing to come back; that's when he was hit.

Well, my son took it pretty hard. Leo really was his best friend. We had a good talk, tough burial, but we're getting through it.

My son's B-day is at the end of the month and we're looking for another dog to adopt...you just can't replace family members.

Thanks all for your condolences, prayers and smoke...

ROCK6
