Said goodbye to my hiking buddy this morning

I'm sorry for your loss. It must be tough. My dog is almost 11 but he's still very active. I know his time will come so I try to make the most of every day with him.
 
Sincere condolences, not much we can say to ease your pain right now. For what it's worth, I've been down the same road, my dog was my hunting buddy and also 9, I couldn't believe how devastated I was, really surprised me. But later when the pain was behind me, I had great memories of all the miles we shared together...I wouldn't trade a moment of it. You'll reach that place too.
 
I feel for you man, sory for your loss, prefer dogs to most people any day.

I feel you.. There is a reason they are our best friends. They are always in that part of our heart where only a dog can fill.. Share some pics with us and a story or two.. I still talk about my pup after 15 years that he passed away
 
I've had dogs most of my life- I know this is a bad feeling, and sad. It's worse because we know it's coming from day one. Still, we do it, and love them and they love us in return.
 
So sorry, Smash. My heart goes out to you. One day we will meet our friends again. Take solace in the memories your shared together and while the hurt will linger long, remember that he is still with you in spirit, in your heart and mind. I'll light a candle for you and your dear friend.

Man I trully feel for you, Ive got to put my dog down this week and its about to seriously kill me, Hardest damn thing Ive ever had to do.
