hey all, i just got a sak soldier, its great but has a one hand opening serrated blade, I want to swap it with another one hand opening blade that is normal , i found a donor on e bay cheap sentinel, anyone who can help, please reach out. I will cover all costs.

I started with 2 Hiker , modified 3 of the blades , add half stop and remove the lanyard tab . I sent it out for the Ti scales Weight is 66 g

I ended up grinding off the serrations, seems to have worked out ok.

The scales on my Wenger Skier were getting chipped, and being a Wenger I don’t think I can find new scales so I made some. The wood came from an old end table that I salvaged. I’m not sure what it is- mahogany maybe? I attached them with super glue gel and applied some mineral oil and paste wax. I’m happy with how it came out.
I’m curious if anyone else makes their own scales and how they did it.
