1. I call the Botanist (saw,pruner blade, opener)
2. Bushcrafter (blade,awl,saw)
3. Pioneer X
4. Pioneer X with a sheepsfoot blade
5. Voyageur (scissors, blade,combo tool)
6. Solo with my Titanium Lanyard/backspacer
 
hey all, i just got a sak soldier, its great but has a one hand opening serrated blade, I want to swap it with another one hand opening blade that is normal , i found a donor on e bay cheap sentinel, anyone who can help, please reach out. I will cover all costs.

I started with 2 Hiker , modified 3 of the blades , add half stop and remove the lanyard tab . I sent it out for the Ti scales Weight is 66 g

I ended up grinding off the serrations, seems to have worked out ok.

The scales on my Wenger Skier were getting chipped, and being a Wenger I don’t think I can find new scales so I made some. The wood came from an old end table that I salvaged. I’m not sure what it is- mahogany maybe? I attached them with super glue gel and applied some mineral oil and paste wax. I’m happy with how it came out.
I’m curious if anyone else makes their own scales and how they did it.
 
Any body put rubber gun grip tape on the sides of their SAK scales ?
I just did my first SAK last night a Recruit . I've done this on many other knives and like it a lot . Using a heat gun to warm the scales then heat the film after it is applied really makes it hunker down and stay put . I keep most of them in pocket slips when carried ; Case Trappers etc.
This Recruit got it's own clip on belt pouch ; the black one with the Cross on the flap and elastic sides .
This knife will be used only for kind of critical cuts on very soft materials at work . I reprofiled and polished the edge to ten degrees per side . Stupid but fun in the right hands . I have a Bantom I did that to over a decade ago just for a single job I do repeatedly at work .
