awesome knife, now if that one had alox handes..that would make it my perfect SAK..

Tone,
I love the hiker. Got two for two different cousins. If it had scissors I would get it.

Bear
I am still after a PE one handed-Trekker.....I think Wenger makes one not Vic....To many Swiss army blades to keep up with !

I had another one done and sent it to a guy on edc forums to it for me $20 and it was returned fast too.

The fieldmaster or huntsman are close to what I wanted but can't stand the extra hook gadget.

The Hiker was my edc for years. I eventually gave it to a kid. That kid is now a grown man and he tells me he uses the knife every day. That was fifteen years ago.

what I started doing is putting Stay Glow scales on my old ones, which are making them favs again! and it's nice to be able to see them in the dark!

The hiker is one of my favorites, I bought one for myself, and my brother years ago and still use them alot, I like the idea of more functions, but in reality find the 3 layer saks, with a saw to be my favorites for the outdoors.

the hiker is a great knife... that and the camper are two of my favorites.... next to the OHT and classic of course...:D

I really like the hiker model,I gonna pick up a OHT and do like "bear" and grind down the serrations...

I could never replace my Tinker; my Tinker was the very first knife I had. It was given to me by my parents when I was 5 or 6 years old and have had for over 20 years now.
However I have been thinking about getting a new sak to take with me when I go "into the wilds" and its down to two models
the first the Trekker

the second is the WorkChamp.

I was thinking the workchamp because it could replace my leatherman wave; but I'm not sure about the pliers & wirecutters. Does anyone have the workchamp? How functional are the pliers? Do they work well or are they more of a just for show "look what else it has" kind-of thing (which i think victorinox is kinda guilty of doing a lot these days)?
