SAK that replaced my Tinker....

I had a hiker for a long time- I actually *use* the corkscrew, though, when I have it (and the eyeglass screwdriver)

Eventually I found the Outrider- lockblade, slightly longer saw, scissors (ambidextrous, even), phillips AND corkscrew. Heaven.

Of course, my wife prefers a Compact. Which, I admit, is the smallest one I could carry and feel reasonably well tooled. Really sweet job on that one.

I was thinking the workchamp because it could replace my leatherman wave; but I'm not sure about the pliers & wirecutters.

Pliers are too often one of those things you need in one hand with another tool in the other hand.

Depending on kit I carry the outrider AND a LM crunch, or the outrider AND fencing pliers. Fencing pliers are underrated, I think.

I like the Rucksak the most. Although that Hiker looks like somthing I would love to own also. I have about 20 SAKs and I am always wanting more. I just love them! I wish they would come with a pocket clip though. I bought one about 16 yrs ago and I have never even used it. Its still in new condition. It came with a leather sheath and has 2 blades, pliers, scissors, bottle and can opener, corkscrew , reamer and a couple of other items. Its put away. I dont know what it was called but i still have it put up. Oh and it had a phillips screwdriver. I wish I knew what it was called.

The 'hook thing' is a boot lace puller used to snug up stubborn laces on your hiking boots. Works great if you have the right size laces, these days boot laces come in all manner of styles.

Hikers are hard to go wrong with. Scibeer built this one for me (giving it as a b-day gift) and I like it so much I am going to have him make up another one for me. :D

How does one contact Scibeer?

My favorite SAK right now is the Farmer. But I'd love one with a few mods.

Only the short run Stayglow OHT are plain. Swissbianco told me in an email red scale plain blade OHT were coming.

What about the Vic Ranger?! It's a good selection of tools, but it might be a bit bulky. The Huntsman/Fieldmaster is probably the best of both worlds. Not too bulky, with enough tools.
