So after all this what do I call this blade I been working on? It's a 52100 core with 15n20 and then wrought iron. So being 5 layers would it be "SAN-MAI IIIII"

If the trademark is registered in the USA but not Canada.....then does that mean us guys north of the border can still make a San Mai knife?

Or San Mai V ?

Or as Rick Marchand just said...Go Mai.

But then it should be Go Mai V!

I am starting to feel insulted ... Cold Steel still has not sent me a letter or email :(

When is he going after Hitachi Steels??? ;)

Considering that Hitachi's annual revenue is in the region 89 billion US dollars per annum....I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest "When Satan has to drive to work in a snowplough" ;)

This is like the Marc Maron episode where someone tries to sue all the podcasters because they claim to have invented podcasts in the '70s.

Except that was funny.

I just got a cease & desist letter from Lynn at Cold Steel about this. I almost peed myself laughing so hard. I also mention smiths hammering on "cold steel" on the show... maybe that'll be the next letter. LMAO
