Some new models T08, and upgrades like GB-910 plus are now from 12C27 steel, no more 8CRMOV

just checked the price on the 910... its $70. i think i'll pass and stick with kershaw if i want a folder in sandvik :)

Are you kidding me?

They're really trying to be aggressive with this. Once upon a time it was "harmless company making decent knives similar in design to others that don't cost much" now they're really trying to get attention and be competitive.

I'm a little torn here... on one hand I WANT THAT 910... on the other this is too much of a real rip off to just discount it as a harmless cheap beater.

Edit: saw the post above mine, whelp this is out the door. If I was gonna drop 80$ I'd go with something else. Internal conflict resolved.

where are yall finding the price, SRM website doesnt seem to show it, or im just failing at finding it

I don't know man, I haven't seen any Kershaws with Redeemed Authority, OR Prevailing Efficiency...

I don't quite understand the T08 though, did it lose its authority, and then redeem itself? Because I don't want a knife that might lose authority at some point.

I think it lost its tip and then they sharpened up the stump, voila, redeemed!

If that 910 was $40 I'd get it right now.

The appeal of a SRM knife is that it is the quality of a $40 knife for only $8-10. I'm not going to spend $80.

Wow, most definitely going to pass. I figured if the 910 was around 10-20$ it'd be worth a look, but for 70$ I could get another Kershaw RAM...

I thought this brand didn't get much higher than about $15.00 tops. That is one heck of a big leap in price range.

the most i would spend is $30 tops on the 910 but im scratching my head on why srm copied the crkt lawks?... im sure it wouldve been cheaper if they left it out.

Er, what's wrong with cabbage? Or does that mean something else? You young kids and your slang and tweets and whatnot...

Cabbage = garbage

Just my opinion by the way. I'd much rather spend my money on a new Kershaw than one of these stolen design SRMs.

The $70 is just from one ebay seller. I'm guessing that he's wayyy out of line. Since the $20 SRM's are considered high end in China, there's no way they'd make one that expensive, especially since it would be a bad deal for a US-made knife at that price. Currently, he's the only one selling this knife, but I expect the price will drop considerably once these become more available. If SRM's sister company Ganzo can make a 440C knife with G-10 for $20 shipped, this one should be about the same price.

Looks like a nice knife. Too bad they couldn't come up with a good design themselves.

I think the reason it is priced so high is that the GB-910 is discontinued and has been off the market for months.

Apparently one dealer found one and is making the most of it.

In my experience, most of the SRMs are good, cheap knives, but none that I have seen is worth anywhere near that price.

This confuses me and makes the whole sanrenmu purchase a confusing (and scary) one...

(( rules violations ))

This looks like a quality vendor with good prices...but they all reference sanrenmu.com

(( rules violations ))

I like the TO8, but there is only one Deutsch review on youtube...translate anyone? (dude cuts a coke can)

What I wonder about is how do we know what steel is used to make a given knife. Like heat treat, you rely on the integrity of the maker. Given the disrespect for intellectual property, can we safely say "integrity" within fifty words of China?
