Anyone else have one? What do you think of it? 8Cr13MoV Blade Steel !

in spite of the rotten eggs and bat bricks hurled at mainland cutlery; most SRM knives rocks!
and most that i've seen exhibits a consistant level of above average fit 'n finish.
but it would be so much better for this company if they stop gettin' inspired in emulating products of other established and well known and popular designs.

i happen to think srm knives aren't bad, they have decent lockup stay sharp a reasonable time, and are shaving sharp from the box, in my experience anyway. they are certainly the best pocket knives that are commonly available here. I think they compare well with $15-$20ish knives that are made for major manufactures (boker, byrd, etc) in china, they aren't going to replace a $150 knife though.

as was mentioned their designs are all "copied" but they stay within the letter of the law with either minor changes or size differences. if you want a bigger knife look at the "Land" series also made by them.
like the 905

I'm not sure if you can get them in the US or not though.

SANRENMU Knives are difficult to find here in the USA. I have five of them and the fit and finish and function is superb.

I am trying to get a line on a reliable vendor for SANRENMU Knives. SZWHOLESALE is a source but I would like to buy direct.

I thought I'd give one a go since they look good for the price. I ordered a 710 today.

I purchased an MTECH USA knife and it seemed good for $8 The SANRENMU 710 seems to a step above in fit and finish for the same price. Of the five Sanrenmu's I have the 710 is the best functionally. If I could find a wholesale dealer the actual cost is about $5.99 or less depending on the quanity purchased.

The 710 is my favourite Sanrenmu model. After a bit of polishing they open smoothly.

I personally wouldn't buy one, just from ethics. But if you like them and find them to be a great value then good find .

I picked up a couple 710's myself; I don't think you can beat them in the <$10 price range, if you like to carry a beater knife. They're smooth and they sharpen up nice - I haven't tested the edge-holding capability. On a British blades forum the guys like to mod these to look MORE like a Sebenza.
I don't find the rough visual similarity to a Sebenza to be an ethical problem - if this is real competition to the Sebenza - at 1/40th the price, then something's gone awry. They are different solutions for different market segments.

I checked out their site and it looks like all their knives are copied designs of other makers, and they made 1 or 2 minor changes.

I won't belabor this point after this reply but I do feel compelled to publically disagree with your comment. This isn't directed at you because I don't expect everyone to think like me. But my opinion is that copying someone elses design as closely as this one does is what's wrong with the international market and even if I may be wasting my time, my little contribution in protest is going to be that I won't buy such products again. I say again because early on in my knife life I did buy some very visually close and very cheap (both definitions) copies of some nice knives. I won't do it again. Besides, after buying the real McCoy versions of those copies, it didn't take a rocket scientist to see and feel the huge differences immediately.

MTECH USA makes a knife almost identical to the Sanrenmu 710 but larger with a 3 1/2 inch blade.

Its very smooth and the fit and finish is nice.

Similar to this one below without the rainbow effect.

Link removed.

It seems to be a very old basic simple common practical useful blade style. It reminds me of the ancient Mora of Sweden blade style which I like very much.

Link removed. is a taobao (kind of like chinese e-bay) search for the sanrenmu 710. the chinese caracters 三刃木 is the Chinese name for sanrenmu if you want another model then just change the number. maybe you can make arrangements with someone on there to ship some. but keep in mind even on there the lowest price is around $4. so unless you are ordering a thousand or so i wouldn't expect too low of a shipped price, maybe you could contact the company directly Link removed. if you are buying just one or 2 $8 shipped is not too bad.

Thank You

I already contacted SANRENMU (without response yet)

I buy and sell (to friends) knives wholesale which is usually about half or less than retail.

I guess I am just too cheap (frugal) but I know Sanrenmu sells them for less.

When I retire I plan to buy and sell things to keep me busy (fun) and for additional income. Doesn't hurt that knives are also "one" of my current hobby interests.

I buy knives which are practical useful and a value to me. I really like Ethan Becker KA-BAR knives. Everyone should have a Mora of Sweden or two around the house or at the camp.

Anyway I am just thinking (writing) out loud but really I just wanted to share a fair deal on the nicely made Sanrenmu knife with everyone else ; )

While I can't say that I've given SANRENMU a try, I will say, however, that after looking through those links, I want to get me one of those SPEENO 1013 fountain pens.

Looks like another hobby has been formed. And fountain pens are expensive too. Yeesh.
