I kind of get the feeling reading some post that there is a little dislike and even a touch of making fun of the SAR5.Am I getting it wrong?
I have one and really like it,liked it better than I thought I would from seeing pics.It is one of the few knives I have had that feels much better than it looks.

On second thought, I'll leave this to the cooler heads.

Jarvis, claims like that should be backed up, please explain.

For me, the handle just wasn't right and the edge was too thick....it could be a great knife with some work....like what Ban put into his, but I figured I'd just sell my 2 and wait for the sar 4. Just my .02 if course....it could be a great knife for some while hated among others. We're all different ;)

When it comes down to it: It's a Busse....made of INFI.....that was cheap!

Love it or hate it, there weren't many of them.

I like mine and am about to make a sheath for it so I can start taking it out on some field trips.

Mine has a hair popping edge and the handle feels great,I do have very large hands though.
The only thing with me about them is that I don't like the looks of the placement of the talon hole.

I have had mine for about 3 weeks. It is one of my favorite blades. I sold my last Batac after I got my SAR5. I used it last weekend camping and for food prep. I think it is a good all around knife. I do see how it is a love it or hate it kind of knife. It either fits you or it doesn't. My SAR has been strapped to my backpack ever since the day I got it, and will continue to stay there.

u812 I dont have one but I like them a lot. I notice that those that hate them and are selling theirs are putting nice markups on them!:) Havent seem em at firesale prices so I wouldnt worry about it.:D

The worst of the "BEST" might have been the intended meaning;)

but I aint speaking for him.

Uncle J's beat enough to speak for himself:D

i dont dislike the sar5, but i love my daba which is about the same size, so i just dont see myself using it.

thick handle, short blade, and i thought i would like the choil better.

I like the SAR5 quite a bit. The lack of a choil gives you a lot of blade for the size and weight. I like it better than the BATAC that I sold but not as much as my RMD.

I love mine. In fact, it rides with me in my jumbo Fatboy just about everywhere I go. One thing I really like about it is that it has the same usable edge as the BATAC, but in a more compact package.

Given the very limited numbers produced, I think the SAR5 will, in time, be quite valuable.

I like the SAR 5 A LOT!!!

It has a very long functional edge for the size of the knife. In fact it is a half inch longer edge than the BATAC and the knife is over an inch shorter   .

.

Never bought one, never will. I'm glad to see that some like it, it shows diversity.

I love mine. I like the big grip, the belly of the blade, and the slight downward angle of the cutting edge. In fact I like it better than the BAIII.

I've sold all of my BAIII's, but I don't see myself selling my SAR5 any time soon.

When I saw this one I really tried to get excited about it but it just didn't come.
Not one thing wrong with it but just not 'sexy' enough.
I'll stick with my CG Badger and RMD in this size range.
