Sasquatch encounters?

There is no reason to bring religion into this discussion. It does not prove, demonstrate, or clarify questions on Bigfoot. At best, it shows that some people prefer hard evidence, while others accept theory as a reason to continue investigating.

Bladeforums policy is to quarantine discussion on religion and politics in the Political Arena. Lets drop it now before I have to close the thread.

Was that Groundhog Gulch or Tír na nog?

I was watching Gold Rush on the Discovery channel and after what I saw aired of the show, I believe not only that Sasquatch are in fact in Alaska......

Really, with all the game cams and phone cameras out there, you would think Big Foot would have been spotted,on the evening news and registered as an endangered species by now. IMHO

Tom Brown suggested that they hide by vibrating at a different wavelength or something like that. Melba Ketchum's DNA analysis seems to indicate that when they cease vibrating they turn into possums. Other analysis shows their hair to be composed of polyesther fibers.

Did you not see my own personal squatch encounter I actually captured on video shown in post #3 of this very thread! With hard hitting evidence like that it would be foolish to mock the existence of Bigfoot. Hold on........ I just heard a knock outside in the yard. Grabbing my camera now..... Wish me luck people!

mhmmm

this might explain things locally to where bears are

But what about places as Australia where having bears like that is probably more exotic that sasquatch / yeti / bunyip / whatevers ?

My boy was so excited... he loves to watch Finding Bigfoot on television, and couldn't believe they were doing a show in Australia!
Of course they didn't find anything there either. ;)

I got a kick out of the Fouke, Arkansas episode since I had worked there and had a close encounter of the bigfoot kind:

We were conducting archaeological test pits on the shore of Boggy Creek as part of the survey for the new interstate. Across the creek from us, to the north, was a low-lying swampy area. One afternoon there was a huge ruckus across in the swamp, splashing, crashing, and all sorts of noises. And then all of a sudden, fleeing the swamp, was a coyote. It ran out of the swamp towards us, leaping into the creek, onto the bank where we were, right past us, and zip, off it ran into the distance.
So what could have spooked that coyote so badly that is was willing to run towards people? I figure it could have only been a bigfoot.

Only a day later was a weird rabbit encounter too. Walking through some low woodlands near Boggy Creek, a rabbit came running right towards me. It ran up to my boots, literally I could have kicked it, then it raced off in the opposite direction. It came back again and repeated. Then did it again.

I tell ya what, the Boggy Creek Monster has the local wildlife so spooked, the animals don't act right any more. The whole place is squachy, I tell ya. :)

Where are the most bigfoot sightings? Globally, not just nationally. I don't know. Are most of them in bear country where people mistake bears for bigfoot? Lots of people make that mistake. There are people who may see something they want to see...I have mistaken a few oddly shaped stumps or scenery for an animal I was pursuing from a distance only to be disappointed, especially in low light. There are people who want attention...I don't know. Like I said I find it hard to believe in an animal that has little credible evidence to support it.

I have no idea of global sightings or hotspots for them .

as soon as someone mentions bigfoot their credibility is shot to hell , anything they may have found is no longer credible ..

Credibility would come from a credible find one presumes. To this point, everything presented has all the substance of swamp gas. This is made all the worse by the number of people trying to cash in on the legends with outright fraud.

Sounds like the rabbit thought you were bigfoot, & hoped you would keep the coyotes at bay.

I live here in a Oregon and go 'squatch hunting every year. I wait in the lake with my knife and attack them when they come down to drink. Not as fun as it used to be with all the regulations on em these days but still good times!
