Saw a stranger with a sebenza and said hi

I'm also in so cal and I have never seen anyone with anything nicer than a benchmade or spyderco. I carry a micarta 25. I guess us CRK fans are few down here.

I ran into a plumber on a job the other day who noticed MY sebenza, it was a first. He was carrying a TI military and sparked up the convo. Pretty cool.
 
I was getting my vehicle washed today and I looked over and there was a guy standing at the window. I noticed he was wearing shorts since it is a bit chilly today and I saw a SEBENZA poking out. I remembered reading this thread so I thought a pic would be cool. I had to go, but I wanted to say HI...
 
How could you NOT go and say hi, Howard? If I saw someone with one I'd walk a mile to say hi! Maybe I'm crazy..

Jon I go to the car wash all the time, I'm sure I will run into him again. I will say hi, lol
 
I was at CVS pharmacy and the clerk behind the desk noticed my sebenza in my pocket and struck up a conversation. It felt really good
 
I was in a shop today and overheard someone mention S35VN, so of course my curiosity took over and I walked over and had two firsts happen to me. I met a BladeForums member for the first time, and also held a Sebenza for the first time. It was BellaBlades, and his Sebenza 25. I have been wanting to handle a Sebenza for a while, and I can tell you I was impressed, both by the knife and Bella's great personality and trusting of a complete stranger to handle his knife. He introduced himself and I said that I recognized the username, and just handed over his knife. It may sound weird, but it actually made my day. I just wanted to thank him again.
 
That is awesome! I would love to bump into a member like Matt, he seems like a class act. I am always on the lookout for sure. I will be sure to mention BF just in case I meet a member. I think that would be pretty cool!
 
I guess the only downside to the story is that now I have convinced myself that I need a Sebenza, Just have to find some extra funds. (and convince the wife that I need another knife)
