Say it ain’t so, Case!

I don't see a problem with it, since its just an option. You can buy one with or without. I wish Buck would put one on the 110. I think if they just offered a version of the 110 with a lanyard hole option. That way, you could screw a pocket clip into the lanyard hole(I've seen this done). Have a regular 110, and one that comes with a lanyard hole and removeable pocket clip. So many nontraditional versions of the 110 have been offered, but nobody has offered a pocket clip version?
Looking at the Case website, the trapper with the clips are all on backorder and I've read where the trapper lock is one of their more popular sellers as well. I'd rather see them do this than go out of business like so many others have.

Case has put pocket clips on some versions of their Russlocks, Mid-Folding Hunter, and Trapperlocks for years. They have knives with lockbacks and liner locks. Some models have thumbstuds. They make many knives with modern handle materials, including G10, Zytel, and acrylics.

It's not like they're killing Santa Claus by offering a pocket clip on an existing model, in addition to the existing ones without the clip.

I think this pocket clip will fill a need. I personally carry my Case Trapper in their leather side draw belt sheath

Is it not really just the "pattern" that makes traditionals....traditional?
I mean, no one minds a modern steel used in a congress do they? Does anyone mind if they come with better synthetic materials than the crappy old celluloid? Add a pocket clip and it becomes a traditional with pocket clip. Just sayin';)

Pocket clips are nice so your knife isn't at the bottom of your pants pocket poking out all weird, and then someone asks "is that a knife in your pocket or are you happy to see me?" And I answer "...yes" and then get called up to HR again.

So yay for pocket clips.

Case is offering a pocket clip. That's all.

Not the end of the world. I'm sure if they were tooled for it they would be making a hard use titanium framelock flipper too.

Everybody calm down.

Shh! You've just caused ZT to go into a panic mode.. Now they're trying to outdo Case with their brand new clipless Trapper!

I agree. It’s an option, not a full scale change across the model.

Also, you likely know this, but the fairly new Buck 110LT has a lanyard hole. Be very cool to see an aftermarket clip that would fit that knife. I love my LT.... same as a 110 but super light. And.... has the Lanyard hole.

If my ancient CV Trapper had a clip I'd likely carry it more often. It's slid out of my pocket on more than one occasion, I was lucky to have found it because it was given to me by a now deceased friend.

Case doesn't come out with anything different very often. I am enthused to see them stretch their legs a bit. I would like to see traditional knives with some modern influences, like one-hand operation and modern steels.
