Say it ain’t so, Case!

i think options are a good thing. i might add some more cases due to pocket clips. now they are useful to carry for me.

I have a Russlock with a clip. It's not bad, and can be removed with a torx driver. I like options.

Putting a pocket clip on a Case folding hunter would save me from doing it myself.

Go for it Case. Hope it increases sales and maybe converts a few modern-only knife users to a functional traditional that cuts.

That is ugly. Two bulky screws and a cheap looking clip. They can and should do better than that.

Clips on a cowboy knife??!
Uh huh. Guess I was wrong that Case was all about having a minty safe queen collection.
Dunno, if that attachment would help wrangle in new interest from traditionally non Case persons.
However, I do hope it gets the much needed attention it truly deserves
from the non traditional folks of this forum.
Way to go Case !

I don't really care one way or another but if you are going to do something, take some pride in it and do it right.

So if GEC made a TC Barlow or a 77 single clip in the future and it came with a pocket clip, it wouldn't be allowed in the Traditionals sub forum?? Hmm..

Nah they’d find away to allow it, then guys would lay them on tree stumps and take pics...or posed on rocks. They would sell out and be flipped for $395 buy it now.

I love GEC and I enjoy the guys and gals on the Trad. forums, but my gut tells me you're right. Case as a whole has sort of slipped on a slick rock and is flowing downstream. In terms of longevity and pattern- preservation however, they are at the top.

The buying for retail then flipping topic is redundant. It sucks, but it's a part of the market; for better or for worse

I have a bunch of GECs, way more than Cases, I edc a Spyderco and almost always a GEC but the over the top GEC love in there can be off putting ....and if someone has an issue with a GEC aye yi yi.

I like the fact this can't even be discussed in the Traditional Forum.

I’m glad someone else noted that. How in the world is a change to a traditional folder off topic for the traditional folder subforum? Bizarro.

I hate the traditional subforum. I ended up there because I searched trapper lock because my dad wanted one. I commented on a post someone else made on said trapper lock and was berated by a bunch of butt hurt old timers because, a trapper with a thumb stud apparently isn't a trapper and I was in the wrong forum. I will never go back there lol.

Yeah, we really miss that attitude there. IE: People that can't read the forum rules and get butthurt when others correct them.

Modern locking mechanisms such as Walker liner locks, pocket clips, holes / studs to allow one hand opening are all out. (Traditional liner locks, such as the lock on a TL29, are in.) Add a clip to a stockman, and it needs to be posted elsewhere.
