i think most of the folks main concern, is the secondary bevel on a scandi... which s not that big of a deal...

The secondary bevel is to add strength and a resistance to chipping/edge deformation. The problem I see though is that you can see it in the pictures, microbevels need to be very small and set by a very fine stone. I'm sure the knife still performs but your loosing 30+% cutting performance with one of that size.

The timing is interesting. If pitdog passes it my way soon, I may get it right around the same time that I get my ACEK. In which case I will be dealing with 'new JK custom overload'.

i was begining to wonder the same thing...
even though it cost me $13 to ship, i couldn't get a deliv. conf. # for it..

Just got in from work and had a few minutes looking at the knife.
The knife is smaller than I imagined and for me this is a good thing as I'm currently going through a small knife phase !
I really like the shape and overall dimensions of this blade and while on the small size it still feels very robust and capable.The handle feels great and offers a rock solid grip.
So enough praising for now, the knife needs sharpening ! Feeling how blunt it was I immediately took it to some wet and dry to see if it just needed a quick touch up.It now cuts post-its but drags somewhat, I will likely have to resort to my diamond hone and then the wet and dry to get it how I like it.
So first impressions are that really like it and might not send it on any further !!!!!

Feel free to take the lanyard off, it's just something I added in case I needed it.You could even use it to make a fire as part of your review.
