Scotch Contest

Is is sad that I don't know any Scotch names? I've never tasted scotch, but is it like butterscotch? MMMmmmmm...Butter.

I gotta go look up some scotch brands.

ALSO,

GO GIANTS!!! Boy it was nice being a Giants fan in Dallas this week!!!:D:D

Howz about a 16 year old Glengate?

or a 10 year old Glengate?

Thanks from a fellow scotch lover!

Age? HA! Old enough to be most poster's parent! Really!

thats really all i know. i need to read the Busse forums more! lol. heck Jerry influenced my first guess! maybe Thomas has the same "taste", although i doubt Jerry would find anything with alcohol "bad". lol

Scotty from Star Trek :D

got to love him, and how cool was TV back then when the man could not only be scottish, but have a scotch drinking contest in one of the episodes???

Let's not forget Captain Kirk's little visit to sick bay, where bones had his little stash.

Off topic, sorry. But I have no idea. I was a bourbon man

Cool contest Thomas. This is one of the more interesting contests, even though I gave up drinking. Scotch can be a deep and emotional subject for many. Joe

original contest :)

Hope the taste of my guesses is awful enough ...

Lagavulin 16 yr old
Laphroaig 15 yr old

2nd day guess:

Muirheads...3 years old.
Muirheads...7 years old.

I tried this Muirheads scotch once, and the stuff had a taste of burnt rubber...(Or what I imagine burnt rubber would taste like.).

We have a winner people!!!!!

I really like Scotch, but this 15 year old and my pallet are on the wrong page. I'll keep working at it though. ;)

buckabee...pick your poison, and congrats!

Wow, first time I win a contest like this. I didn't expect so, since my firtst guess was already taken(Lagavulin 16).:D

Thanks for your generosity, but since I'm from Belgium(sorry, didn't fill it in in my profile), it will give you a lot of extra costs/trouble to get it here I think. So if you would prefer to give the knife to somebody else, or keep it for another contest, I would understand it completely.

It's already an honour for me to have won a scotch contest. Until now, I've only won beer (drinking) contests and stuff:)
