Scotch Contest

Congrats Buckabee !! Cool contest Thomas !

I stayed out of it, so as not to clutter the thread. Dont know nothin about no Scotch, lol, Gimme a good Burboun, lol

I've heard many people say that Laphroig goes down like lighter fluid. That would have been my guess but Buckabee had already chosen it by the time I got here!!!! Way to go Buckabee

Thanks. I have never drunk this stuff myself.
From what I've heard it smells like phenol and tastes like tar and sulfur. So I'm not considering drinking it in the future either. ;)
As a student, when I drink scotch, I prefer blended, like famous grouse. The good single malts are too expensive for me.
But off course, that's not a big problem, since there's no other place on earth were the good beers are as cheap as they are here.:)

Heck, just wash that Lapfrog down with some Slivovitz and you'll have yourself a real good time. And send the Duvel to me, if you like.

We have a winner people!!!!!
I really like Scotch, but this 15 year old and my pallet are on the wrong page. I'll keep working at it though. ;)

buckabee...pick your poison, and congrats!

AHA! It WAS Laphroig!!

I'll agree the taste is pretty extreme.

Duvel, Stella Artois, Jupiler, Chimay, Hoegaarden, Hoegaarden (so good it had to be twice)...I think you may be right. :)

Way to go buckabee!!!
Now, what knife are you going for?

Thanks for the chance Coach.

Thanks all! I'm still looking between the great choices there are. It would be a damn shame if I choose too quick and get a blade I end up not using it:).
I'm looking for a folder with max 3,5" bladelength, a steel with decent or great edge retention(S30V, zdp189...) and no serrations.

Problem is it can't have speedsafe on it, because assisted opening is illegal here. So currently my choice could be a ZT 0200, but I'm not sure ZT counts as a valid choice.
Another option could be the Nakamura, which looks like a very nice non-tactical EDC, but is maybe a bit pricey.

I will try to come to my ultimate choise as quick as I can:)

Forgive me for my serious ignorance, but I didn't realize until now that Thomas works for Kershaw.
I'm feeling sorry for the fact that, until now, I don't own a knife jet of what looks to me the most generous knife company in the universe!

Thanks again Thomas.

I was going to pick the 15 year old, but I typed in the 10 year old instead. If I went with my first instinct I would have won. Not my day! Thomas, how are you with Irish whisky? Some of those can be pretty good too. Joe
