I never received a notification. I got curious and logged into my PayPal account only to find that an invoice request from Busse had been sitting there for a week.

If you did PayPal checkout, then you might take a look there.

I paid for mine a week ago but still no shipping notice. But that’s okay, I would rather them do there quality work than rush it like so many tend to do these days.

I finally got Dinged today!!!

I was beginning to think I screwed up my account or something...lol

For those who are using theirs, Please keep posting pictures as I am not scheduled to get mine until next Tuesday :/

Were they "OTB" (*Other Than Black) coated?

*I can't wait to compare mine to my two other bruisers... (*cross-posted from the "Just pix of knives" thread)

I've have had my eye on that Kodiak too.....
I always have missed out when I saw them for sale. Curious how Your comparison goes? :D

The one I ordered was a satin finished one

Satin finish? Wow. I thought all of those were already out in the field.

I was late paying on my second DT12 order. (*I'm still calling this damned thing the "Yard Mistress"...page 15, I believe, of the "name" thread... AriesTheCam AriesTheCam , if I remember correctly) So, I thought maybe Jerry and his crew were punishing me. However, both of my orders were for colored/coated blades, so that may have something to do with it.

As far as the Kodiak, I talked to Alex very early on, when he was still producing them himself. Somehow, our correspondence became a bit stilted (*my fault, most likely) and I never got one. It haunted me for quite some time. Anyhoo, I reached-out to him a second time and he informed me that he had contracted with Work Tuff, and that the blades would be coming soon. Like you, I missed-out on the first run. (*According to Victor, they sold-out in minutes)

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you get one...to compare to your satin Yard Mistress of course.

Yep. That was one of my suggestions. I apologize for your misfortune (tbh that's what I've been calling it too lol)

That bottom one is awesome!

Thank you! I completely agree.

As a splitter/wedge, it's a bit "Meh"...a solid "7" of "10". I have blades that are much better splitters. But, as a chopper (*its intended design), the fU<ker is an absolute wood bomb!

Like the Kodiak, I was worried that my "Yard Mistresses"...ahem, "Dirty Trick 12s"...would be a nothing more than "decent" wood wedges, because of the full flats. However, my full flat 5160 Ontario RD-9 is an outstanding wedge. So, I have high hopes for the coated "Yard Mistresses".

They're scheduled to arrive on Wednesday, and the beatings will commence.

*The beatings will continue until moral improves.
