Scrap Yard Scores Some INFI. . . . Meet The War Dog ! ! ! !

in my order confirmation it said I would get an email--I think I saw someone mention that they already started shipping-yes I did see that above.

They usually do send a shipping email, however not always right away. With Swamprat I always get the automated email from UPS saying a label has been generated and then another once it ships. With the yard I usually get an email but sometimes on the day the box arrives.

Thanks guys! I just got my shipping email so question answered. VERY EXCITED!!!

I got my shipping notice email at 12:47 pm Central Daylight Time today for the tan handled WD. Ordered it on Saturday morning.

I should have it just before I fly off to Hot-lanta.

LESS THAN TWO WEEKS from order to arrival. I'm so glad Dan and Renee don't follow everything Jerry does! :p ;) :D

Looks like that's what few guys are going to do.......order a different knife.

How hilarious is that?

Well that is what makes knife buying great, if they had made that thin then half the folks would be happy the other half would be complaining. The S5LE was thin, this one is thick, yet still very light and will be more than adequate as a forest blade. There is not one design of any knife that completely satisfies everyone.... the one's who want to buy it will, the others still may just to have it, either way I don't think it matters much. Personally I can't wait to get mine

And god bless all of you, who like the design. I’m just trying to figure out why someone would need so much steel in a 5” blade.

geeze, I dont get the complaining. All these amature knife makers telling a very successful knife maker what hes doing wrong with his design.

I for one am stoked about this offering! Satin INFI and Res-c for under $200 shipped?!?!?! mine shipped today :)

good job on this one Scrapyard/Busse

Do you need to have a blade that size that thick, probably not but there are a lot of people who like thick, indestructible blades. Take the Muk, I am sure it is a nice blade, I am sure it is very functional but I am not a fan of the Nesmuk type blades so I passed on it, wasn't for me. Jerry recently released the CABS series, very thin bushcraft style of blades. There is a place for all of them, whether it be in your hands or that of the next guy. It just came across like complaining, it is impossible to make everyone happy so if this blade isn't for you then possibly the next one will be, that's all. We are all just in it for the ride, when something pops up that I like and can afford I buy it. Cheers

I would argue that 90% of the users on here will never really ever NEED anything more than a SAK, hatchet and/or machete - but people still buy knives of all shapes and sizes...

Different strokes for different folks and thats what makes knives pretty f'ing fun :D

LOL, my daughter walked in my office here just as I was reading all the whining/crying/complaining going on about how thick this blade is. She asked me what I was reading, and I told her, just about some people whining/crying/complaining for not getting what THEY wanted.

She is a big Justin Timberlake fan, she immediately started singing, "Cry Me a River", I started laughing my ass off.

Kids can really make you laugh sometimes....I looked up the song, here ya go :D

Thanks fellas, makes sense.
I think the point, people who would prefer a thinner blade, were making was that had this otherwise very capable knife been thinner, it would have sold in greater numbers. Hardly a complain. More sales- better profit margin to the manufacture, less sales- not so much, at least most of the time.
I’m happy to see there are enough people willing to buy this knife, as long as “ It’s INFI and Res-c” ,to make it worthwhile for the company to produce.

You may want to look up definitions of whining, crying, and complaining before start ammusing your ass , pal.

Also I would like to apologize to everybody who felt offended by me, and others with the preference of a thinner blade, for not creaming my pants and rushing to part with 200 shekels.

WOW! Shipping already?! I hope these are around for a bit! I should be able to afford it first of July.

My brother Dan has many plans for this handle and many of those will be much thinner. Not INFI, but MUCH thinner SR-101 designs at a much lower price. I am sure that some of those designs will fill the need for those who desire a thinner blade.

Dan posted a video of the War Dog on You Tube carving a fuzz stick and doing some slicing.

I watched the video... it looks thick but, not as thick as all the people talking about it seem to make it out to be. Yeah, it's a beefy blade but... it's fairly lightweight, I really don't understand what the issue is, it's not like a pocketknife where you're worried about some bulge in your pocket from the thickness.

I honestly don't understand, but hey... whatever floats your boat (or sinks it in this case)

I got an automated e-mail saying that my order had shipped but the shipped out date and tracking number are blank. I went with the 14.95 shipping cause I didn't know what I was doing and wanted to make sure I got it (I said that in a note on the order) but... does anyone know how these knives ship?

Ups, FedEx?
or is it usps kinda thing?

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!??!?! Thats IMPOSSIBLE mannnnnnn!!!! Everyone in this thread knows its impossible to slice or use a blade that thick, must be fake....
