Scrap Yard Scores Some INFI. . . . Meet The War Dog ! ! ! !

Love the overall design, but it's too thick.

Hoping they come out with another model sporting a thin SS4 style blade!

I agree, too thick for my tastes. Which is a shame, because this looks like an otherwise great knife .

.155-.180 thick with a very smal choil (Fallkniven F1) and I'd be all over this knife......

Exactly my thoughts

I've always felt that series to be one of the purest forms of compact, simple design that still maintains ergonomics on the market/ever produced. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE if this scrap yard offering was sans choil, because then I could say the same about the war dog.

I'm not a big fan of molded handles over a smaller tang, will water creep inside? I'd plan on using it with wet stuff as well.

I've been searching for the perfect knife for a long time, tastes change, preferences have changed and I'm getting closer to finding it. Always find something close, but there is always one thing that, if it could change, would qualify for MY perfect medium sized knife. This is damn close if not for the thickness. If this one was somewhere between 1/8 and 3/16 it might end my knife buying days ... for a while.

Does anyone have a picture of the spine of a Busse that is .235 for comparisons sake?

...I would love to see this on a knife that I can relate to being that I'm relatively still just a newb here.

I'm personally looking forward to this knife in it's actual, as-designed blade-stoutness.:thumbup: That's what makes it Busse(kin) to me.

At under 7oz, it's already going to be light carry. Anything smaller or thinner, may as well save a buck fifty and pick up a CASM2000 (Choil-less Anorexic Swedish Mora 2000).

Now we are talking...

Perhaps Dan could take a minute, and clue us in on his choice of such a thick blade design, the way Jerry did when a question about the Muckster and its handle arose.
Just a suggestion, but I, for one, would be much obliged.

order has been placed-- I'll take it..........yes the one with the thick blade design. If I wanted it thinner I would order a............................................................DIFFERENT KNIFE.

Never ordered direct from the Yard - do they usually email when your order has been shipped like Busse or will it just go out when card is dinged?

Thanks!

in my order confirmation it said I would get an email--I think I saw someone mention that they already started shipping-yes I did see that above.

They usually do send a shipping email, however not always right away. With Swamprat I always get the automated email from UPS saying a label has been generated and then another once it ships. With the yard I usually get an email but sometimes on the day the box arrives.
