Very nice. FWIW, I've found that wiping the unbuffed scales down with Ballistol really brings out the color (and darkens it some), without reducing the grippiness at all. Thanks and yes! I should have also gotten a set of buffed ones. Did get another set of OD Green Micarta unbuffed, but will probably keep the B/R on there, so nice

UPS driver is getting sneaky. Didn’t even hear the scanner beep at the door.

Please post pics when you get it and congrats! You’ve got me excited now after seeing yours, except my UPS guy won’t be here till after dark today.
I’ve got the buffed twin to yours coming in.
Thanks, I most certainly will. I’ll get some pics outside tomorrow in all the rain and snow we’re supposed to get. Please post pics when you get it and congrats!
Dammit now I'm really thinking of selling my standard and trying to copy cat your set up
Excellent photo and those scales really pop buffed!
Veddy sexy.
This is an unbuffed red & black linen SS SDFK right? Looks great! I'm awaiting my basic SDFK with unbuffed scales in this color.Retired UPS Driver
Look at the two long streaks of red by the front fastener on yours. They are identical to mine and they show up on both sides of my scales. That’s precision machining and a uniform product

Every time I see a photo of a DEK1, I want to start referring to mine as "The Mako". Just sounds better than "My DEK".
I like where you're going with this, but since already refer to that other thing as "My Mako," it just makes things really confusing. If not downright dangerous.Every time I see a photo of a DEK1, I want to start referring to mine as "The Mako". Just sounds better than "My DEK".
