IMO it feels more like a short chopper than a large knife, especially when you choke back on the handle.The weight is perfect for light chopping. Choking back on the handle makes this blade feel even bigger than it is.

I tried to give it a little wear. But this stonewashed finish just cleans up like new. It gonna take a lot more beating. View attachment 1942828
The SDFK is looking like it will be my go to camp wood processing knife. I think it will also be perfect to take on hikes in search for a good walking stick.
It does chop like a chopper. But it cuts like a big knife! I brought it into the kitchen to slice a tri-tip. That is when the CPK geometry shines. I’m not saying that it’s a chef knife. But it can slice pretty damn good. The SDFK is a real do it all camp blade.IMO it feels more like a short chopper than a large knife, especially when you choke back on the handle.
