In the following page- You made me sit up with your group of Knives from Sears my friend- that so cool, and yean that stockman you say is your nicest is a real nice knife- you can see why I am not going to jump off this road, this one and the Harness Jack Highway are my two main routes ( I have about 50 other side roads of brands patterns

Cal is right- Sears did mix it up= Schrade did call the bigger Knife the Deerslayer and yet Sears called the 165 the Deerslayer, yet another example of the hundreds of small twists that make this study an interesting one.
Jeff that lovely Camp Knife- yes your right, The Tang Stamp I used to think some time ago- as well as many others - until pointed out that the High Carbon Steel isnt a name but a SEARS owned Brand name and Camillus had exclusive rights for the use of this Brand Name- as well as STA-SHARP was an Brand name owned by Sears and gave exclusive rights to Camillus to use that.
Now you see that when Craftsman came in ( late41) 1942, you see STA-SHARP actually under the Craftsman Headliner- and now the newer arrival of CHROME VANADIUM which was the Sears owned Brand name used exclusively by the new arrival of Ulster- Albeart Baer now owned Ulster and had recently left Camillus under a cloud and it was game on - Albert Baer had the relationship with Sears before this and you see this interesting transition within the Catalog pages.....
This is kind of like Heroin to me lol.
Nice grouping
