Sebenza 31 Converts?

Hope u hit this offer, exited to see what u think of the large!

I only had smalls myself for 8 years.

Me too. All the very early sebenzas were large size I think, so that was Chris’ original vision. I’ve never tried or had interest in a large. I have carried a small traditional for so long I just cannot imagine needing anything bigger than a small insingo. Plus I live in an area with 3” blade laws.

It's not superior, but for my own sake I just loooove the pivot bushing and the timeless design.

Some like the Sebenza and some want an even more overbuilt thing and go for the Inkosi or zaan.

I like the bushing but I’m not married to the idea. The thing that holds me back from an Inkosi is in fact the overbuild. I am so used to very thin blade stock the sebenza stock is like a pry bar. I really like it but going thicker seems completely unnecessary for my use. I am certain the Inkosi has a strong fan base for good reason, but I think I’m a different type of knife user. I guess I’ll never really know until I try one.

I agree, not at all thinly ground. If they build a sebenza-thin I’d buy it.

The hollow grind helps a lot, pretty slicy imo.

But I agree, the stock on the spine is slightly over the top. But only by a bit, the knife is designed to do some tough stuff after all.

They are quite different, the large and the small, despite looking nearly identical in photos. If you are accustomed to one, the other is cartoonish. For me, the small Sebenza is comically small, but there was a time when I carried one for about a month. The large Sebenza seemed like a machete when I picked it up again. Now the large just seems like an ordinary pocket knife to me.

This is so true, couldn't have said it better.

The Blade length was what kept me from the larges for years. We had a 3.5 limit here, well actually still do until 10Sept23. That’s why I kept buying and selling Umnumzaans. I would say screw it and buy then worry about the law and sell.
I finally just said F it and and I would take my chances with a jury finding my guilty of carrying a concealed weapon for the knife but the G19 right next to it was fine…

Then you'll love the gulag. And beets for dinner on all days that end in "y".

I hope you're hungry!
You neglected to mention the Russian-ness of the rock pile... Any beet-diet laden rock piles in non-communist run countries?
