Sorry, hehehe...they're just awesome...go ahead, get one. I'm sure someone else will chime in and be more specific, but all that does is make you want it more, and sooner.

Just get one and see for yourself, save the trouble of convincing yourself...it's torture.

The only problem with the Sebenza is that once you have one you really have a problem spending more money on anything else. That darn knife is just so much better than anything else that I have I have lost my "wants". You know what the "wants" are don't you. I want this new knife, I want that new knife, I want the latest. Just can't seem to get excited like I used to over the new kid on the block. Maybe it will go away some day. Until then I have more money in my pocket.

John,
I know what you mean by you don't have anymore wants.I've gone thru alot of money looking for the knife that does it all for me.As of now I am satisfied, but being a knifeaholic I'm sure I will have to have something sooner or later.

If you are looking for a high performance folder then I would highly recommend the Sebenza.

Yes, it is a good knife.

A very good knife.

If I could have only one, this would be it.

If I could have only two, I would get a spare.

I just received a Sebenza and I cannot tell you how much I like it (the post would be too long and too long winded).

I have wanted a Sebenza ever since I first handled one at a show in Orlando back in 1994. I didn't get the Sebenza back then, I didn't think I could afford the price.

In the five years that have passed since then, I have spent more than the price of the Sebenza on other knives that weren't as good and weren't exactly what I wanted.

Now I have a Sebenza; it is exactly what I want. I figure that by waiting to buy it, I have spent roughly double what I would have spent on folders if I had just bought the Sebenza in the first place (not to mention the fact that I would have enjoyed the knife for all those years).

I read a little pearl of wisdom once which seems applicable here: always buy the best and you will never be disappointed, in the long run, it's cheaper too (or something like that).

Don't get one! I blame Ryan Malpiede for getting me started on Sebenzas and St.James for fueling the fire. I have 8 now and am still lusting for a LDC-9 version. The decorated are too pretty to use, same with the tanto and LDC-109. So you end up with stuff you cn't use. I have one that I carry daily... out of eight!!! Talk about poor money management!

I had read so many positive things about the Sebenza's that I finally give in and bought the small model w/BG-42. It is the best made folder I've ever used or seen (I've not seen some by the top guys), I already had a couple of higher priced folders and the Sebenza beats both in every respect!
Am probably going to get the Damascus Sebenza later on. I would advise you to USE one if you decide to buy it. Just my 2 cents!

Yes, BUY all means purchase one, you will not be dissapointed. As Steve6 said, if we took the time to post all of our comments on the Sebenza it would be too big, also I'd take Marion's suggestion on the search feature, check out the Archive section as well, lots of info on the Sebenza's there.

I now have the Zulu Trio and couldn't be happier! (at least till I see what the 2000 Umfaan looks like

Well, I've had quite a few custom and production in my many years.
I first heard of Chris Reeve and his Sebenzas in the knife magazines, then I read ALL the posts about Sebenzas in the Knife Forums and here in the Blade Forums; one became available here so I bought it. Found out you could send them in and get dual studs and your name engraved, did that.
Then I was led to an old model for sale so I bought that. Then I found a Umfaan here in the forums and bought that, then a small etc.
I sold every knife I had to get these too.
Now I want a decorated, and a Tanto, and a damascus blade.
I still feel that even though they are habit forming, I would recommend that anyone who wants the best should get one!

(Thank you StJames for leading me down this path of happiness and financial ruin)

All non-Sebenza owners do not listen to us. Do not buy a Sebenza unless you want to become one of us. Are you ready to sell all your other knives to get more sebenzas? Are you ready to convert and become one of us? Do not buy one unless you are.

Catfish,

Sebenzas range from $325 to $660. Chris Reeve website is www.chrisreeve.com

It's a terrible knife. PLEASE don't buy one.

That way there will be more left for me. ;-)

Seriously, it's been said, but if I had to pick only one knife...

... and Chris & Anne are stupendous, the customer service is beyond compare... bla bla bla...

Trust me, my son - you won't go wrong. Period. If you're unhappy you can sell it to me or one of the other board members in less than an hour. Truly.
