I carry a spydiechef every single day. Great little knife and has not let me down one lick since I got it a few months after the MKII game out. Do also recommend this. The Spydiechef comes to mind; don't knock it until ya try it. Something completely different yet still familiar enough.
Are you open to new lock types besides framelocks?
My experience mirrors yours. For an office job, it's close to perfect.I carry a spydiechef every single day. Great little knife and has not let me down one lick since I got it a few months after the MKII game out. Do also recommend this.
I second the Les George! Checks all your boxes and they’re a steal at $350-375Demko AD20.5 (ti-handled model) would be my top pick.
You should also be able to find a TRM Atom or Neutron with ti handles for 300ish or G10/Micarta for 200. Great cutters, blade is slightly less durable.
Les George makes a real nice knife in the 400 range, either the ESV or VECP depending on how large you want to go. I bet you can find a like-new one for 350-375.
Although I was aware of the GB2, I hadn't realized how close it was to the regular sebenza. How does it feel in the hand? I always thought the oversized liners would be uncomfortable but maybe I was wrong
I like this review of the GB2, especially since mine is configured the same way as his with the micarta covers. He is also discusses it with some comparison to a Sebenza, fwiw.
Coleman. Do. It.I have micarta scales for my GB2 as well….but for some reason, I’m finding it hard to take the CF off to put the micarta on! (Mentally)
Maybe these guys can help: mail@cuscadi.deI wish I could get scales for the GB1, but no one seems to make them, just like my Domino. GB1 is a nice if heavy knife.
Too late, only one left.Spartan Harsey 3.25. Currently available on the Exchange in your price range.
Please buy them both before I do something I don't need to do.
