Recommendation? Sebenza "Replacement"?

So I was reviewing everything that was mentioned and I find a lot of them very interesting. The one that surprised me the most to see was the Spydiechef even though materials and colors are the same except from the blade steel. How does it feel in the hand? Since it coming from their factory in Taiwan, I assume the QC will be very good. Also is it true that it has a lot of lock stick and if yes is there a modification that can fix that?

The Spydiechef comes to mind; don't knock it until ya try it. Something completely different yet still familiar enough.

Are you open to new lock types besides framelocks?
I carry a spydiechef every single day. Great little knife and has not let me down one lick since I got it a few months after the MKII game out. Do also recommend this.

My experience mirrors yours. For an office job, it's close to perfect.

Demko AD20.5 (ti-handled model) would be my top pick.

You should also be able to find a TRM Atom or Neutron with ti handles for 300ish or G10/Micarta for 200. Great cutters, blade is slightly less durable.

Les George makes a real nice knife in the 400 range, either the ESV or VECP depending on how large you want to go. I bet you can find a like-new one for 350-375.
I second the Les George! Checks all your boxes and they’re a steal at $350-375

I like this review of the GB2, especially since mine is configured the same way as his with the micarta covers. He is also discusses it with some comparison to a Sebenza, fwiw.

I have micarta scales for my GB2 as well….but for some reason, I’m finding it hard to take the CF off to put the micarta on! (Mentally)

I wish I could get scales for the GB1, but no one seems to make them, just like my Domino. GB1 is a nice if heavy knife.

You didn’t say if you wanted a thumb stud opener like the Sebenza.

The Emerson A-100 has a similar mechanism.

They used to be hard to find but their website has them now for under $250 with shipping for a stone-washed blade.

Thank you everyone for your responses, even though I can't get everything listed in this thread now, some of them are definitely on the "to-buy" list. For now I decided to go with the GB2. It was between that and the SHF 3.25 but I found out that a local retailer had the GB2 & the Malibu in wharncliffe and Magnacut available and decided to buy these 2
