Recommendation? Sebenza "Replacement"?

Someone sold an old "user" Sebenza 21 on the Exchange a few days ago for $200 if I remember correctly. Heck of a deal. Keep a close eye on the exchange and you might get lucky.

As for alternatives, I dunno.
I was like 2 mins late on that one!

Can you guys give me a good sebenza alternative?
The Sebenza. It’s expensive upfront but over the years it gets cheaper. I’ve had the same 21 for the last 3.5 years, which comes out to around $160 a year so far. I paid around 500 since it was a dealer exclusive. The Sebenza will pay for itself.

But if you must, in the past, the Bradley Alias was considered to be a Sebenza competitor.

I'm a big Sebenza fan;

But I can also recommend, and I also really like the Spartan Harsey Folder (and this cartoon is spot on).

As much as I want an A.B Imamba with blue bone inlays, his knives look way too much like Chris Reeve. If knives were humans the Imamba would be a cousin to the Sebenza.
Similar but different. Smoother PB washers opening, or choose bearings. A thumb hole vs stud. Blade is more drop vs clip. Milled clip vs bent. And of course flipper vs non-flipper. The sweet spot size. Availability. It’s an alternative that has some features that might vibe better with people. I find almost all Ti framelocks similar to a Sebenza. It’s the classic all want to emulate. There’s an element of similarity to them all.

Just to add yet another comparison to the many here, I would submit the Spyderco Chaparral. It has a thin blade making it very slicy. Thanks to the choil, it actually fits better in my hand than the small Sebenza. (glove size L) With the Sebenza, my hand fits with the index finger in the groove. This puts my pinky wrapped around the lanyard. With the Chaparral, my index finger goes in the choil, which lets my entire hand fit on the handle. That is a bit more secure feeling to me.

If your hand is a bit larger than mine, perhaps the Native 5 mentioned earlier may fit better. It is similar shape to the Chaparral, just a bit bigger. Here is the Chaparral laid over the Native 5 Salt (Magnacut) to illustrate.
