Good choices! Those are both very solid performers that also look real nice. I think you'll be happy with your choices.Thank you everyone for your responses, even though I can't get everything listed in this thread now, some of them are definitely on the "to-buy" list. For now I decided to go with the GB2. It was between that and the SHF 3.25 but I found out that a local retailer had the GB2 & the Malibu in wharncliffe and Magnacut available and decided to buy these 2
Wow, that thing looks nice! This is my first time hearing about Ohlone. Do you know who's doing the manufacturing?Ohlone goat axl is new and getting very good reviews
Agreed. The 0470 was my EDC for 3 years before I got my small and large Sebenzas. I mostly carry the small now, but still love the ZT.Zt 0470 is a great little knife. Slicey, and feels like a medium sebenza as a flipper. Premium steel too.
You and me both brother! If it's the ad I'm thinking of, I bought one already!Spartan Harsey 3.25. Currently available on the Exchange in your price range.
Please buy them both before I do something I don't need to do.
Love my Spidichef and my Sage 2How about one of the Spydercos designed by an outside designer?
I had a Spyderco Kapara that was quite nice. Ditto for the Pattada.
I have a Spydiechef and it is awesome; amazing how well it works for food prep. The blade angle gives knuckle clearance.
Don’t discount them just because they’re “Only a Spyderco”.
Small Sebenza alternative?
Without hesitation, the SG Spidermonkey.
It size and proportions are very similar to the small Sebenza.
The blade thickness strikes a great balance between tough and practical.
The build quality is exceptional (though I can only speak to my example).
Qualifier: Out of the box the action was gritty; I loosened the pivot, hosed it down with lighter fluid, then added a drop of oil. Bingo! On point!
I did not care for the pocket clip (you may feel differently) so I replaced it with a MXG (Benchmade pattern).
Every time I carry it I realize it checks all the same boxes as a small Sebenza.
I love the knife and will replace it immediately if lost. It won’t break the bank, either (compared to replacing a CRK).

I like the plain design and the frame lock. I never identified with crazy blade shapes. And less than 300$ preferablyWhat is it about the sebenza you like? What don't you like?
Do you just want a titanium frame lock or made in USA? Price?
I should preface that I’ve never had a sebenza because they are just over my price range. I do like large knives and it seems it would be the perfect size. I just won’t know until I hold one and I’m not sure how long that will be.I like the plain design and the frame lock. I never identified with crazy blade shapes. And less than 400$ preferably
