Yeah it's a perfect specimen man! The Ti scales still feel "sandpapery". I'm stoked, just got done putting my own Edge on it and now tomorrow after work I suppose I'll dissemble it and get to know her on a personal level lol. Plus I think it needs some grease? Unless they are normally this uhhh "tough or slow" to get past the detent? I hear the washers have to actually polish the stonewash off the tang before they become as smooth as advertised ?It looks totally MINT!!
Nice score!
Enjoy it!! I am loving my 2!
I'll be sure to post pictures. I found a knife shop in Jacksonville that sells CRKs so at least I'll be able to fondle with one before I make the leap..if I choose to go that route lol.
Alright guys I'm sure most of you are tired of seeing my post but before I make a Sebenza purchase I've gotta ask if a Hinderer XM 18 is a "better choice"?
My guess is there is no right or wrong answer to this. I figure it's like asking if Chevy is better than Ford lol.
So I ask all of you without getting into a all out war ..which would you choose to blow 400 bucks on..
I'm not asking to compare the two, as I've done extensive research on both. A simple
"Hinderer" or "Sebenza" will suffice.
(I'll even make a poll for the ease of not wasting anyone's time, but feel free to elloborate on your selection)
Thanks again BF!
Edit: I'm partial to the Sebenza as it stands.
I had excellent customer service from Hinderer knives. Don't let a slow reply deter you all together. Are you sure you have the correct address?Jacksonville, FL? Which store?
I am on the fence on both of these knives and actually holding one would probably make my decision.
I’ve contacted Hinderer via e-mail (since I’m LEO) with questions and they aren’t the most responsive.
It just might come down to customer service for me. If I pay $400+ for a knife, I shouldn’t have to pay that company to do a basic service on it everyonce in a while.
CRK seems to be more customer friendly.
I did don’t worry. Now I need a Zaan...BUY THEM BOTH!
Just not a fan of the double finger choils. I’m sure the ergos are great though.

Can’t argue with the sunburst pattern though! In a perfect world, I’d own a sunburst zaan. One day..one day.Yup. I wasnt either. But its pretty much ideal.

I must say I haven’t gotten the pleasure to have one in hand so I’m just speculating from photos that I won’t like it (which is extremely dumb lol). Hopefully I’ll sharpen one soon enough!A WC Inkosi is the one thing that really on my list right now. I think it looks perfect in the starburst pattern. And it definitely has the best ergos if anything CRK makes.

Normally I don’t like finger grooves either so I was also wary of the double finger grooves when I got my large Inkosi. That said once you get it in hand they aren’t obtrusive at all and the feeling isn’t that different from the 21 with its single finger groove.
The inkosi double groove really does not lock your hand into being only confortable in one position. The knife is comfortable even in unorthodox grips like forward edge in or reverse edge in.
