Well, that's it. There are no stores in my state that I know of that carry CRK's. So, kinda screwed in that way. My biggest concern is that pointy thumbstud. I have a rat1 in my hand right now that is the smoothest knife I own and have opened it 200x this morning with zero discomfort. That is a well done thumb stud. That pointy one on the Sebby looks painful and being an addict at fondling my knives that is a concern. I get zero pleasure just knowing I own something. I have to have it in hand and do something with it to enjoy it. Hell, I hunt for stuff to cut.

I do have a store a 100 miles away that carries Hinderers though and am going to see if they have a half track today to check it out. I wish they would carry Reeves, but alas the owner just doesn't like em.

And I agree, the size of the half track is my concern with it. Seems a tad small. Wish that dude was MP1 size. Could just be neither are in my future.

That makes sense. I do believe in handling a blade before buying one. My crk 25 had a double thumb lug so that was nice and easy I could put another finger on the back side and helps relieve some of the pressure. My newest 21 doesn't take that much to open at all but it also doesn't bother me to open it all the time. I usually carry a flipper or something easy to open/close when I carry my crks also.

I liked the hinderer I owned but was unimpressed with how much blade play I got. That and how thick the blade was the two reasons I didn't care for it.

These 2 are my first CRKs HP and they have blown me away!
The way they feel in hand, that action is just golden, the blade grinds are sickeningly even, perfect jumping, and on and on and on!!
I really love the sounds they make on lock up and closing.......can't stop fondling!!
Great knives!
Joe

Another reason I love CRK.. as many times as you open it, I personally haven't seen the lock bar move since it broke in

Don't forget the Customer Support too. Don't know if you saw but when I was at the factory I got a free hoodie for free for being a returning customer.. That and they gave my 25 a spa day which included the blasting of the handles, replaced a stripped screw, new lanyard, lube and sharpening in under 12 hours because I wasn't sure how long I would be in town.

Well according to the poll..only about 72% of you will be happy with the photo I'm about to share with you all.

I got one just like it a couple of weeks ago and I'm liking it more and more as it breaks in. (And as I get used to its finicky opening.)

I considered several other options, including Hinderers, but in the end I decided that the Sebenza was a much better fit for my lifestyle than something "tactical" would have been.

I've seen the lockbar on my small Griptilian move less than 1mm over five years and man, yeah!

It's not that we don't like CRK.
Very well made knives, it's just personal preference.
And threads like this tend to be devisive.

The perfect first Sebenza. Smart money says it won't be the last.
God please don't say that..lol
Don't baby it for too long
I don't plan on it. It'll quickly become my main work horse I'm sure.

Funny..it's not the opening that is getting me, I can already flick the baby open..but it's the strong lock bar that's throwing me for a loop. I have to really concentrate right now to close with one hand. I'm hoping to lock bar break in over time?

I don't know about you guys but I hate the whole lanyard deal..so I just cut the tip off and melted the other end so my blue lanyard pin would stay in the knife. Shame it looks weird without anything there or Id remove the pin altogether. :(
