Here is the age old question that everyone wants to be solved once and for all.... CRK Sebenza large vs Hinderer XM-18.

Both fantastic production knives backed by great customer service. You really must hold them in hand to determine the best choice for you.

You have to be more specific? Which model? Blade type, edge geometry, custom scales or stock?

I have had multiples of each one. And I have an opinion. The hinderer xm-18 is a heavy-duty version of the large sebbie. The xm-18 3.5" version also has an exceptionally weak detent, and the blade can, and has, partially opened in my pocket
on multiple occasions. This has been noted by quite a few guys.
The large sebbie is fault-free as long as your hand is large enough to handle the grip-length. I love large sebbies; I just wish that the grip length of the small was a little longer, and the grip-length of the large should be several mm's shorter, in order to fit MY hand. Most folks love either size just fine.

Some things just aren't meant to be solved
But, it's always fun to discuss.

The detent I'n the gen 4 knives seem quite strong, there's no way its opening in my pocket. Seems like the weak point has been corrected. Mind you I have only had hands on newer gen 4's and nothing else.

It varies person to person. Both solid and well made, though. I've owned a Zaan and an XM 3.5...I still own the XM.
